Junction, don't think you got the right of way

Recommended Posts

This afternoon came across an accident at the junction of Upp Thomson / Marymount Rd. Nowadays, green light doesn't mean you got the right of way. Have to check left and right, up and down before proceed even though is a green light. This black colour merc was hitted when while green light. All I could do was to call for the police to summon for an AB.

Please be cautious when approaching traffic junction.

The top weird accident i saw in the past

1) during one of the car forum gtg. A manual car hit onto another member car!! Both are at park position :) the parking position as such

-- I, like capital letter T position.

2) at traffic, one blue van waiting to turn right & behind is a MPV with a half car length gap. Guess what, the blue van reversed & hit onto the MPV. Funny thing is that is the gap is narrower the impact will be lesser!!

I have travelled the same road several times before... I notice the long up and down road before getting close to the traffic light, some driver speed up and NO intention to slow down even is "Green" right of way...believe me the opps right turn right vehicle will just turn without notice how fast those ride is travelling. (Meaning kuku driver trying luck).

Overall, my message is .... DON"T happily just speed up when near traffic junction. Why risk yours or your family life just to go through one studpit junction...and yet you know life in SG is full of wonderful junction...

Life is precious.Don't waste it before you can change to your new ride....

Ya lor. Nowadays unlike in the past, a lot of kuku on the road. It is our duty to prevent accident even though we've the right of way.

And 1 thing, there is also something wrong with the driving centre, so easy pass. My wife tested only 1 time then get license. Funny thing is she don't even know to keep in the lane, switching lane like turning, reverse parking parked half an hour also can't park properly and more.... This type of standard also 1 time pass.

I think this is they're policy, 1 driver passed = 1 car import tax, gst, coe, road tax and lifetime erp collection and also make the road jammed so that they've reason to build more erp, that's why they want more drivers on the road.

In the past, I was proud to mention that Singapore is my home, but now feel that Singapore is only my workplace working for somebody!

If you all notice, these mpv driver all damn haolian one. Drive like their own road.

Not apply only to mpv driver, alots of drivers on the road time to accelerate, they slow like turtle; time to slow down, they race like on track. Another make me most TL one is when switching lane, once I switch the signal, they accelerate don't give way to u. The most most TL one is once they accelerated, you LL wait for the boody to go 1st then u switch lane, after that the bloody drive like a turtle infront of you. So TP, you don't blame me for switching lane without signal. Cos this world has changed. The world changed, the environment changed, the climate changed, the virus changed, the human character also changed. So I've to also change to suit the surrounding. Hahaha....
