Right rear lights failure

Hi guys,

I am driving a C-class W204 Kompressor 2007 model. This morning, 4 warning messages popped up at the same time after driving for a while:

- Rear right turn signal

- Right-hand tail lamp/brake lamp

- Rear right side marker lamp

- Rear right foglamp

I don't think it is the case that all the lamps failed at the same time and I suspect it has to do with some wiring. Also I only get the warnings after driving for a while and not immediately. Has anyone experienced this before? Really strange. Thanks!

Though it may be the wiring, you never know. I replaced 2 bulbs for $4 at Chip Soon. Had a shock when he showed me the bill, cos he did a diagnostic on my fc and rough gear change for me......good things must share!

yes, experienced the multi warning messages. Mine was due to melted wiring. u can open the plastic bracket located inside yur boot to see if this is the same case as yours.

since mine was still within the warranty period then, went to CnC and got the wiring changed.

mine is weird..

for a while it show the light warning (i ignored them), then a few weeks later, just gone off.. then a couple weeks later the warning came back again.

also wiring issue right? don't think the bulbs can light up again if blown..

Sorry, I don't check the forum very often but def sounds like a wiring problem. Bulb won't light up again once blown.

guys, my passenger side rear tail lamp assembly is now confirmed to have a dimming problem caused by melted plastic and connected...

many article from overseas and this forum and MBUSA even recalled lots of C-Class for this safety issue (2nd link post #92) :

http://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/476795-recall-c300-taillights-true.html

My W204 (04/2011) is out of warranty and external installer have tab the reversing lamp as the signal to on the reverse camera (yup passenger side) so can i ask if anyone has experience getting C&C to replace this? I really like to retain this tail lamp set up as i do not like the FL version.

Any advise or you know of any external workshop that has replaced this before with original parts? Thanks.
