Stuff to change and their change intervals

Recommended Posts

hi guys..

quick background.. i bought my pre-fl 2011 c180k pre-owned.

what i was given was only a thick manual, and nothing else...

not sure i kenna bluffed, but my previous car had another booklet that states what needs to be changed/checked at what mileage.

i cannot find the change intervals in the manual for things like:

engine oil - 10k

filter - 10k

plugs - 40k

transmission oil - 40k

belts - 100k

etc.

i don't wanna depend 100% on the mechanic to tell me what needs to be changed.. rather know it for myself in case some over-zealous mech try to make a quick buck for the company (yes, i kenna before).

if anyone knows and can share/point to the url location... it'll be greatly appreciated.

mine come with 4 booklets, 1 thick and the other 3 thin which consist of the servicing booklet informing you of all the servicing interval.

thank you for sharing this info with me. i guess that is the hazard of getting a car pre-owned.

to think i have given the books and complete record of my previous car including the thick stack of servicing/mod receipts to the next owner.

btw, i have downloaded a maintenance manual from the internet.. the mileage are in miles.

not sure if this is applicable for us?

eg.

service at 10,000 miles or 1 year

engine - oil and filter change

replace brake fluid...

service at 20,000 miles or 2 year

..
