Servicing A w/o Engine Compartment Wash

I want to know this too as my first service A is due in 4000km.

I don't like the idea of engine compartment wash, is there a way to make sure that the request will be passed down from the counter staffs to the guys who actually do the servicing?

Otherwise I would just stick a big A4 size note on the engine that says "NO WASHING"

phang, u need to write in black n white informing your SE/SA not to carry out engine compartment washing.

i told him verbally and in the end , my engine compartment still got wash. and i need to pay the 60 bucks.

hmm, i never ask too. u can ask your C&C SE, and update us here. haha

Question... what is the meaning by "Washing">>>> Spray water in the engine bay????? :startle:

Or just use wet cloth to clean clean & tuch touch kind? ... If so, charge at the amount of $60. Then i think my grandma can do a better job....

Engine compartment wash , wiper water topup are optional, you can tell them the services are not required. I personally like the engine compartment wash and short circuit test. The engine is really nice and clean .

I'm usually quite anal about engine compartment cleanliness. There were some areas that I just couldn't reach in my twice weekly under the hood clean up by myself, but C&C really did a a thorough clean up reaching all these areas. Trust me, they are very thorough! Worth the $60.

haha.. i told them dont need engine wash and i already topup my wiper water till overflow the night before.

and i still got a statement charging me 7 bucks for wiper water topup.

and the best part is when i ask how your side top up the wiper fluid when it is already full, my SE told me his guy drained away the wiper water and top up using their small bottle of wiper fluid.

i never say the engine wash is not worth the value. my sian part is when i told the SE that i dont need a engine wash and wiper fluid top up but in the end, both items r done and got charged.

Bro Arshavin, i always book my service thru the internet. I will always indicate what are the jobs i do not want them to do.

When at the service centre, the counter staff would have printed out my booking with all instructions on the forms to be handed over to the service guy. Check and confirm all instructions are there, if not write on the service form.

If despite what is printed out they still go ahead and wash and top all fluids, i will not pay them cos its printed clearly

1) "DO NOT TOP WASHER FLUID"

2) "DO NOT WASH ENGINE BAY"

3) "DO NOT REPLACE AIR FILTER ETC"

4) "USE ONLY MOBILE ONE ENGINE OIL GOLD CAP"

If they insist talk to their manager, if they still insist, tell them they can keep the car and walk out. Haha. just joking.

It always work for me.

If you did tell the SA and it is written down then you have every right not to pay. I have successfully rejected such charges before.

The engine wash is grouped together with car battery check as a package apparently. The batt check is not simply hooking it up to a meter & read current level, it checks for current leaks thru all the car's sensors as well. If you request not to have the engine wash, you will forgo the batt check too. If your car is a Blue Efficiency model....believe or not, you need to check the batt health closely.

Wa. Never know that. Does not matter now since is done n paid up.

Does C&C charge our tyres pressure during tyres rotation n servicing A check? Mine was not charged at all and I only discover this Sunday when I went to petrol station and charge the air.

My fwd tyres pressure higher than the rear ones.

asked before, cnc has a disposal charge of $60 if we bring our own oil..

actually it is perfectly all right for me if they return all the empty bottles back to me. I would be happy to dispose of them outside their gate myself.
