Shark fin antenna broken

windss

Recommended Posts

Hey gurus,

I need some advice here. The security guard at my condo closed the gate on my car, slicing off the sharkfin antenna at the end of the roof. Radio and all still works fine.

Anyone knows where to fix apart from C&C? Do I have to keep the exposed antenna weatherproof? My usual workshop guy is more the nuts n bolts person..

Had a general look around the web; mostly other makes, some replacing whole antenna >USD500, while some say can replace the broken cap alone <USD50. Any thoughts?

:P

It's for the radio & GPS, telephony if they are preinstalled!

Unker, if it's Audio 2.0 like mine, is it a dummy? Anyway to improve radio reception?

Facing poor reception? Some add signal booster, some add antenna across windscreen. But so far never encountered any reception problems even with difficult channels such as 88.3Fm

A few bros driving pre-fl have the same problem as me. Sometimes it gets softer. Reception not very good. Where to add the signal booster?

Go see camber53 then got excuse to upgrade to COMAND!

COMAND lalio no good, then send him your regards.....hehehehe! :)

On a serious note, I never had poor radio receptions with my previous rides with Audio 20!

The centre of the car is the place for the best antennae reception!

My COMAND NTG 2.5 GPS antennae placed under the front windscreen signals are not always good.

Cheers
