At Tampines Mall Kopitiam yesterday. The food court was crowded and the ah mah was slow in clearing the tables, so the fatty woman lost her temper and gave the ah mah one punch in the eye and scolded her vulgarities. It took 10 men to restrain the fatty woman, other patrons also came forward to protect the ah mah from further assault by the fat bitch

Police will defer this as civil case. Why? If arrested in sure the SPF will make sure you, the public, know they doing their jobs as protector of the weak and innocent. How I know? Cos I kena before.

This was at Tampines mall about 6 years back. Ah tiong driver of a SUV stopped right at the entrance of car park. I was immediately behind him, with a whole bunch of cars behind me. I horned once and motioned the 'hello, what the hell' two arms waving gesture.

So I presume no happy ending?

Part 2

Ah tiong got out of his SUV. This is still with the cars behind me. He challenged me to get out of the car. And so I got out and gestured to the cars behind me and told him something to the effect of: you are an idiot. move your car so we can park. he stepped forward and landed a punch on my jaw, sending my glasses to the concrete floor. I leaned down to pick up my glasses and when i looked up, I could see my wife rushing not to check if I'm OK, but towards ah tiong to want to deck him.

So, there I was, punched in the face, but instead of decking the guy back, I was restraining my wife, who was then goading the guy to punch her too.

I actually laughed cos it was just so damn funny. Well, it was, until the ah tiong wife who was seated behind, opened her door and asked in an irate tone "ok, get in the car and let's go. we don't have time."

my wife turned and went after her, telling her that her husband has just punched me, and she just wants to leave? the guy walked back to his SUV, with my wife and I telling not to leave as we are calling the police. I turned around to see if any of the cars stuck behind me could help as witnesses. guess what? the ramp was EMPTY. THERE WERE NO CARS IN SIGHT. THIS WAS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT B2 IN TAMPINES MALL.

ah tiong got in, rolled down his window and told us to call the police, he doesn't give a damn.

we followed behind, he eventually parked at B3 facing the escalators going up. Meanwhile my wife has already called the police.

We hazard lighted in front of his parked SUV and waited. He and his family took their time, crawled out of the SUV and as they were going up, ah tiong smiled and told us that they are going to crystal jade and then NTUC. if the police come, please get them to wait for him.

Part 3

While waiting for SPF to come, my wife explained that she goaded him so that he could punch her, then he'll be in deep shit. SHe used to be stalked by some psycho so she knows about how the SPF likes to be the knights in shining armor. more importantly she said if she was punched, I couldn't and shouldn't react. cos if i did, it's going to devolve into just a civil suit. (FORESHADOWING)

Police car arrived about 20mins later. took down my statement, took down my wife's statement. my wife told them what the ah tiong said, about waiting for him to come back.

So they actually just walked around his SUV took down his plate, etc (EPIC FAIL 1)

My wife asked what the SPF officers are intending to do. The reply was that they would take his statement too and they would advise us to launch a civil suit if we want to pursue the incident. (EPIC FAIL 2)

Then my wife started crying and got angry at the officers, asking them is it because we were poor and driving a small car while the ah tiong was driving a big car that they dont want to pursue the matter. INSTANTLY THE BEHAVIOUR CHANGED! The officers started calling back HQ for advice.

Ah tiong then appeared with a trolley full of groceries. He smiled and waved as he made his way to his SUV to unload the groceries.

They asked him to bring his family home then come down to the Bedok station for statement. We were advised to go CGH for doctor's examination to see if I'm OK.

By the time I got to see anyone at CGH, it was well after 2 hours since the incident. But I moaned my way through the check, until the doctor wondered out loud how improbable a punch can bruise my face. Still, she gave me stuff for swelling and pain.

I went down to the station after that to meet with the appointed IC for the case. IC told me that the guy just left and when he compared the statements, THEY MATCH (ah tiong's biggest mistake). So I asked him what is going to happen, and before he could reply, I told him that I am taller, fitter and younger than ah tiong. How come I can control reacting, and he couldn't? How come the SPF cannot do anything about it? Where is justice if this kind of thing can happen??

Part 4

A week later, IC called me to inform me that he has discussed the case with the A-G office and they will charge him for road rage. Of course we both sibeh happy lah, especially when we then receive a letter from SPF to state that they have begun taking action against ah tiong.

It would be a month before we heard from IC again. This time he said the ah tiong side wants to meet up to mitigate. I went down and there was anther guy, not the ah tiong. fearing it was a lawyer, i told IC i dont think i want to speak to a lawyer without my lawyer present. turns out it was ah tiong's boss. Boss gave me his history, told me he was a good worker, nice colleague, family man, and that I should give him a chance. I told him what I told IC before - I was at a physical advantage, so if I could hold back, what does that say about his employee of the year? He continued to nag at me until I told IC that I don't want to mitigate and left.

IC called the next day and said ah tiong wants to compensate. For SGD1,000. I told IC no way am I settling anything. IC asked me to think of a number and call him back when I decided. I pulled the figure of SGD25,000 out of my ass and informed IC.

A week later, IC called back again and said that the A-G will pursue the case and bring ah tiong to court.

At the end, I received a letter from SPF informing me ah tiong has been sentenced to a week in jail and fined $10,000. if he was a pass holder, that means he would be deported when he comes out. if he was a PR, he has a criminal record that would prevent him from renewing his PR or applying for SG citizenship.

I will try to find the letter.

No lah I didnt get 25grand. A-G opted to continue action against him.

im not the hero here no need to idolise me. the hero is my wife. sibeh hiong. after that ordeal i scared of her. her rationale of getting it by the ah tiong is that the police will deal a heavy hand on him - she rather lose out a bit and get him where it hurts - a criminal record.

tonight i do dig, last night by the time i finished telling the case, i falling asleep liao. today still have to come back to work, &^%^&%*&()*^%$#$
