Black Sheep

Hey guys,

new to this forum.

Share one incident of a black sheep.

I was driving a ford and I had to park next to Mercs SLK at a Shaw Carpark. As the carpark was really small, and the other car was at Q7. I barely had enough space. But I believe I left enough space for both the car drivers/passenger to get it.

When I came back, I believe the driver of the Mercs scratch my car on the pax side/ i.e driver side.

A little too low class for it man.. I was furious, not so much of the scratch because its an old car but more the childishness.

Anyway tried to pull the CCTV no avail.

Well it happened to my previous ride, just out from factory for 1 day and the next day there's a one big dent on the side door.

I reckon the driver got big a*se and need to swing open her car door but you'll get used to it!

After all the dents & scratches, u send in for "plastic surgery", it's brand new again!

It just happened to me this evening! I completed my exhaust mod, very happy. Went for dinner, came back and I got scratched on my the left side of my front bumper! Some scratches are quite deep. Damn I can't believe it when I saw the scratches! Totally spoilt my evening.

Lesson no 1..never park next to a 2 door coupe or cab. The door is longer & the driver needs to open fairly wider than a sedan to get in.

Lesson no 2...never park next to a old & dirty car or truck. Chances are that the driver or passenger will not give a hoot to the neighbouring car.

Lesson no 3...park in a single lot or corner lot that's far away. Exercise your legs!

I parked beside two empty lots! Driver must have fled the scene immediately when he/she know something is wrong.

I was at Thomson Prata House eating dinner. Parked at the HDB estate behind. Sucks big time.

The car park was quite dark. There are some scratches that are quite deep. Will be visiting a groomer soon, hopefully polishing will make it less obvious.

Probably need a respray :growl:

If I do park at random carparks, I'll walk around to check my ride b4 driving off...

My first thought was to respray, but was advised by BM to polish and see first.

That's what I do too. Guess it doesn't help when the damage is already done.

Shaw carpark is yesteryear's design, for cars that were smaller in size or maybe designed by architect who doesn't drive. All the lots are so close that sometimes I have to get out of the car from the passenger side in order to give more space between 2 cars.

Parking beside a SLK in that carpark is really asking for trouble. Like jtang's post, 2 doors car always have a longer door and swings out more.

Btw, is there any Sgmerc decal on the car bo?

Actually if the SLK driver is careful also won't hit. I make my memory seat to a setting that pushes the seat all the way back so I don't need wide space to open door when the situation calls for it.

Lesson 4... always park beside a car more expensive than yours

I always try to spot well-groomed cars. parking next to car owners who take pride in their cars make me feel more at ease.
