Boleh land c class

My friend just paid RM250k (SGD 100K) for a C200 in boleh land. I was shocked to see it came with ILS as standard.

If its under standard equipment will it be cheaper in boleh land? If it is, Sgmerc bros who want to change to ILS can check in out.

Has anyone try asking around before? Please share.

Cars in other countries are much cheaper compared to Singapore. For starters We're the only country that needs to pay COE! As far as I know, till this date there isn't any workshop able to retrofit the ILS for W204.

ILS is not just a xenon light, the package comes with additional camera mounted in front of rear view mirror, and a pair of headlight washer spray. It looks like a big job to integrate all these into the car system if done after the car is delivered.

Different countries have different specs. What i saw in hong kong, c250 coupe come with pana roof as standard.

In London, BMW , Mini and our Benz have all better specs standards than our Spore ones

Higher specs means higher OMV which also means higher Tax and selling price...

The question is, all the so called premium marques like Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, Jaguar, Audi already specced the essential xenon/autolevel/headlight washer (Try a night drive in boleh land then you will appreciate it) as standard in their base model......except see and see!

the c-class in malaysia i understand is CKD (complete knock down) version, it is assemble in malaysia, therefore it is cheaper coz i think the import duties are lower (guru can advise more)... this is not to say it is lao ya or what but just wanna share, besides assembly, there may be some components manufactured in malaysia or some other work done in malaysia like painting, as to the details, sorry i also like to know

Car body parts are stamped or precision welded by robots and jigs, so I doubt these are manufactured in Malaysia. I think paint is likely to be done else where too since the body needs to dip into tank of primer for rust proofing followed by spray painting and baking.

I may be wrong, just my logic.

yup. the body parts are Ikea'd to malaysia just for assembly, as for other component, i read no one knows what they are or aren't
