My partner and I were at cathay cineleisure for the Merc movie screening of the MIB3 movie in the evening. Basically Merc CnC booked the whole movie theatre for the private screening and the tickets were complementary for Merc owners. On each seats, there is a Merc logo head rest cover on it.

NB.... when the movie ended.... what I saw, almost shocked me. So xia sui... I saw a few people removing the Merc seat logo covers and keep it in their bag. I even locked my eye sight on a young couple whom did it right before my eyes. The young men simply remove the cover and put it in his girlfriend's handbag. When I looked at him, he still smile smile like nothing happened.

Poor organisers had to chase after these people to collect back the covers.

Ladies and gentleman, if you're one of those whom had taken the covers, please return them la. Merc Cnc already so good give you free movie vouchers to watch the latest movie and you return the favor back by STEALING other people's property. God have eyes and cinemas have CCTVs. You think they're blind? In addition, all movie tickets had been accounted for and tagged to the the invited guests.

My 2 cents.... if you can afford to drive a Merc, don't be so cheapskate until like this lah. You don't feel pai sey meh?

Many years ago, I went to Diana Krall concert in Suntec Exhibition Centre. When the show started and lights turned off, I heard loud thumping sound from the back, around me and towards the front, like surround sound of a group of zebra running around me.

Lights on, I saw all the empty seats in front of me all nicely occupied, like a magic show :rolleyes:

lol sorry im not the type to take photos of everything. and really apart from the free tix and the free popcorn and gassy soda, not a very different user experience than a normal movie. so, didnt take any photos. but it's a pity, from a marketing standpoint, they could've done more - made it more involving, gather client feedback, build that rapport. i understand they do all these events more as ad hoc standalone affairs. /fail

I agree more could have been done for marketing. Lights were off too early such that the nice covers with the logo weren't visible, should get more exposure by keeping lights on.

Maybe deliberately turning lights off will prevent more covers from getting stolen. LOL.
