On today's ST, Christopher Tan wrote, " As long as the driver acknowledges the limits of his own driving skills and does not exceed them, a supercar is no less safe than a Volvo."

My analogy: So long as a Class 2B rider is confident of his riding skills, he is free to ride a Harley Davision or Ducati???

It doesnt make sense bcos it's precisely e skill that needs to be tested rather than leaving it to perceived ability.

Depends!! U get a goody boy drives a Lambo his top speed is 80km/hr & afraid that will void warranty beyond this speed. If u get a Angry Young Man to drives a Proton will probably hit the top speed whenever he can. So whats the point for retraining??

All foreigner must go thru at least 2 FULL days of training in sg road before allows to drive. The present system allows them to convert as long as they pass the basic highway code. Even with this measure, the ownership is on the driver. For this incident, the driver is the issue, not the car model or the present driver system.

Amen!!
