Be careful on where you choose to park

Recommended Posts

These days parking our cars in spore, we need to keep a lookout for aging trees trucks and branches.

There is one more animal I will keep a lookout for. That is cats

Park my car at marsiling drive blk 205 Open space car park. After eating dinner there with friend, went back collect car.

Witness an auntie shooing a white fat cat off her nissen car roof top. Was wondering why the auntie is so angry with that cute cat. To my surprise, the cat actually leave scratches marks on her bonnet. Very clear cut marks.

The best part is her car is parked beside my car. Straight away I wonder if our Mercedes car paint and Zaino detailing is animal scratch proof or not?

Anyone care to update me

Too many external and environmental factors to avoid, falling tree branches, bird shit, stray cats etc. Also those drivers/ passengers who like to swing open the car doors wide and hit our ride. No matter how good the detailing will still scratch or leave a dent. :(

Luck certainly plays a critical factor but we must also play a vital role in reducing the chances. Don't park below trees, next to old cars with lots of dents or scratches and also lorries or industrial vehicles. That's my motto.

Ever since spore old trees start to fall down one by one during thunderstorm, I change my mindset on parking under the shade of big trees.

Those trees at The car parks outside my company are so old that their branches can even just break off during bright day times and piece through my colleague Honda windscreen and into the dashboard. Lucky his insurance willing to cover the damage

If yesterday my car is the one which the cat climb up n rest on the roof, I think today I willl be complaining here n shouting for help to remove the scratch mark.

When your roof is canvas, they love it, not only scratch marks will they leave....oso a pile of statically positive fur....hard time removing. I'm an animal lover...but this is just too much work every weekend.

BTW, do not scare them off, their claws will extend and then its 'thank you very much for the marks'...

Problem solved with spray.

We can only minimize that much. I chose a lot beside my colleague's car with a lot in between us. The whole carpark is almost empty. Guessed what? A lorry parked in between us! Wtf!!!

If u guys noticed, many drivers can't park properly without a car beside them. They can't park in line properly......must park beside a car even when there are tons of empty lots around......

Fully agree. Every time The car park is so empty when I park my car, when come back , often find left n right side got cars parked beside me but other areas of car park still have spacious empty lots

Strange ppl thinking.

While parking...

1. Don't choose to park beside motorcycle lots- Lot of time fire incident happen on them first. Plus sometime motorist will scratch if too near.

2. Don't park right at the position when car driving down from multi-storey carpark -some kuku driver miss judge when turning.(I'm once a victim on my previous ride)

My house Multi storey car park did have one accident where a drunk driver drive up the slope and crash into the car parked facing the slope.

After that, I never park at the row of lot facing the traffics from the up slope and down slope

Mango season.

My office carpark has a mango tree and usually people rush to park under it for shade. Last week, saw a mango drop directly on the bonet of a staff car and leave a dent.

So, don't park yr car under any fruit trees during their season!

Dogs.

You are quite right. Town council forwarded my complaint to Police. Police replied that feeding cats at void decks is not illegal (this keeps them coming back and sleeping on the cars) an suggested we feed dogs to keep the cats away. When I heard it I was like WTF.

Haha. Champions. So to solve cats problem , we feed stray dogs to chase them away.

Then these stray dogs become problematic dogs as those at AMK park which requires Government to catch them n let ppl adopt

There's this spray that i got when i was overseas, spray it over the roof and they will stay away. It's called Rid Roof. I think its the odor that they dislike.

You are right, town council couldnt care less. I used to feed the cats outside my gate cos they helped with the rodents, now....jaded man....Every weekend, i will return to my CO's place, always kenna....pek chek...but the spray has been working fine so far for me. I think locally, you can get from autobacs as well.
