I think there may be a slight chance of surviving if the taxi has side and window bags. Research has shown that window bag helps in cushioning the head during a side impact.

i saw a youtube clip on side impacts.. at 62mph, it was already quite bad even after the curtain bags were deployed

at that speed this ferrari hit the cab, they probably won't help..

Wake of Mr Cheng, the taxi driver who died at the Ferrari crash, is at Blk 306 Canberra Road (13-17th May). He was a sole breadwinner.

I tot was ferrari driver (PRC) with a young lady passenger (PRC), not only beating the red lights but also tavelling at insane speeds and crash into a taxi driver (S'porean) and passenger (Jap). No?

Must be ferrari driver trying to impress the young passenger and cause the accident. Sad.

It's really obvious that the Ferrari driver didn't see the red light.

If you look at the first 5 secs, the road in the opposite direction of the ferrari (right side) was in the 'turn right' signal for some time already, which then turned red before the sonata moved off.

That means the Ferrari's road was already red for more than 10 seconds, plus the Ferrari never braked.

That ferrari idiot driver is totally drunk... Or he is play with the girl beside him thats why never see the red light...

Either that or he was misled by the Next traffic light ahead as the next traffic light may confuse motorists from afar that stretch.

In any case, from now let's take our own sweet time to move off once e lights turn green if you happen to be 1st car. Must always check before proceeding.
