Simi is Good SE!!

Recommended Posts

Lets talks abt good SE!! Many newbies tends to look for good SE including myself. But what do u meant by good SE?? Is it alot of freebies, good discount & high trade-in price & good services including 24/7 to answer all yr questions. Does this person exist??

After all these years of changing new rides, i realised that good SE is someone can help u to meet yr budget & good after sales service. Just to share, those freebies are usually comes from yr trade-in price else who is paying for it!!

What say u???

a good SE has to know his/her products. If I could explain the audio-20 and figure out the speed dial function before my SE can figure it out, then what good is he/she?

they get paid a comm from the sale of car, and from the bank loan. So, for me, a good SE has to earn his/her keep. This is where people would diverge in their needs.

Some prefer the up-front discounts they get, and they will put up with shitty service levels (please see countless hawker stalls with good food but shit service for examples of what singaporeans will put up with). Some prefer a more professional approach - good after-sales follow-up, birthday cards, etc.

Can you get both good discounts AND good after-sales follow-up? For me, I've not had that privilige in SG. If often a compromise.

I almost bought from PML, VW or PA, if not for their shitty pre-sales service levels.

Totally agree with you. The SE has to know their stuff well. I remember reading before I collected my car that the FL W204 comes with sunglass holder. The big day came for me to collect my car, I asked my SE where the sunglass holder was and her reply to me was that there isn't one in this car. I'm quite used to holding the handle bar above the door when stopping at red lights. When I drove out of MBC and hit my first red light, I naturally tried to reach for the handle which turned out to be the sunglass holder! We're paying a premium for these cars and I totally believe that the SE needs to know his or her stuff before trying to make a sale.

I too went to PML initially but was very turned off by their bo chap service.

At the end of the day, I guess a good SE would be one that meets your personal requirements. Everyones requirements and expectations are different, a good SE for me might not be one for you.

I think mine was quite a good deal, not the best but good enough for me.

Service wise I think she's very professional. During test drive, negotiations, car collection time all good.

Also, after sales service is good too. Calls me up a few times after collection to check out how is everything, car ok or not, etc. The last time was about 4 months after I collected my car.

So, you also couldn't stand standing around at the lobby for 5mins while the SEs at the counter look you up and down and then go back to chatting? Same for VW! I went twice to look at the GTI E35 - both times the gaggle of SEs looked up from behind the counter, then went back to their iPhones. No service. They earned too much comm already!

Ya, their service standards are horrible! Nobody could be bothered to entertain at all! Was quite a different experience when I walked into Mercedes, there was a line of SEs waiting to great you as you walk into the door!

Most SE are not products savy & most bor chap be it kang or chio . As there are different needs & wants from customer. Some like me more aesthetic mods, i will ask weird question like how to debage a rear emblem 3 point star. Some would ask where is the lever to pop up the hoot or tyres pressure etc. So i guess forum is a good place to ask these kinda of question coz most SE cant be bothered to reply u.

Just to share, one of the bro i got to show him some basic tips & tricks which the SE didnt go thru with him at all. These are simple & useful features but yet the SE fails to explains to the customer. For example, hold assist at traffic stop!!

One more thing to add, she even mailed me the Merc 2012 desktop calender, not sure if this is the usual practice, but I appreciate the gesture

For Mine SE , I need to ask her one. The 2012 calendars 02 each, the MB quarterly event card, the ML-class launch next month, my current settlement amount, others rubbish request.

She alway try to fulfil me. Haha.

She even advise me not to change car now.
