Painted stock Grille

I wanted to paint my W204 stock grille ossidian black which will match my car paint work. I was quoted $80 for it by a workshop & it will take one day. Has anyone done it before & it is a fair price?

Reasonable price, good price is like $50. Do ask them to do a clear coat to reduce the stones chip impact.

Nope!! Is not easy to respray from chrome to choice of color, try DIY u will know what i mean.

He's right. Chrome won't take to paint at all. So your guy would've needed to sand down the star for the paint to latch on, and then add on coats of clear. That $20 is well spent, I would say.

Greats!! U can ask any kind soul to loan u a grille while u send it for a spray job. So that u can reduce loss of downtime but must buy kopi o siew tai lah to the kind soul. Whats yr ride?

Thanks, its a C180 Kompressor. Anyway the workshop is nearby my office. He will send me to work & delivered me the car after the paintwork is done. That's what I called service

Wow thats great service i must say. So downtime is between 9-5pm no need overnight? Im curious to see the final result

Last time my cheapo painter did the same thing for me too. Come & dismantle the grille & install it back before 5pm but no baking oven or whatsoever only using hair dryer coz is cheapo charges.

Nowadays kopi very expensive leh my kopi shop sell 90cent and its those bland watered down version somemore.

Looks like i have to work harder, see who else needs help i can volunteer in exchange for kopi o kosong

Bro i dont dare to recommend coz the workmanship is so so only. I used their services for my CLC coupe in 2009 . Now i can respray myself liao or sticker job for grille job but my workmanship is same as theirs & using hair dryer too.

Sorry for not posting earlier as I was outstation. It was done in a workshop in Bedok North. Did the spraying on the Sunday of vesak day weekend . He came down to the workshop just to do it & took 2 1/2 hours. I did it in obsidian black.

It was professionally done with sanding, primer, clear coat & oven baked. I tried to upload the pictures but not successful. Can any bros advised me how to upload pictures??

It cost me a total of $100, $80 for spraying & $20 to fix the AMG door pin. I will PM the contact to any bros who wants it.
