Taxi fare increase.

last time when i use taxi as my mode of transport, its initial starting fare is 2.40..

now is 3 bucks.

I ask the comfort taxi that I know of how much will it cost for me to travel to work n back home.

Go work at 7am, cab fare is at least 30 bucks

Go home at 7pm, cab fare is also at least $30.

Per day is $60 at least

Monthly taxi fare is 60 x 20 bucks.

$1200 bucks. Last time I only need 600 bucks

Can't compare city to city

Spore government don't hand out pay out to jobless n old elders. There is no free uni education.

Public Transport wise we r still not handicap friendly. Many unfortunate handicap need cab to travel around.

Other cities public transport system r well developed and very handicap friendly

Personally, I advertise to the stewardess for my transport services. Charge them slightly lower than the taxis. Same time get their contact number......and then.......use you imagination.

Not really la. New York is quite bad with handicaps. Their trains are old, trains station really dirty. I climb alot of stairs there with my heavy coat. I probably lost half a kg climbing the stairs there.

Comparing nearer countries, Hong kong is quite bad also. I just remember keep climbing stairs. I think I lost a kg climbing the stairs. Frankly, I find Singapore relatively reasonable to live in.

We always thought the grass is greener on the other side, actually I really didn't find it so after travelling to a few big cities. I love Singapore! :music:

PS: I hate taxi drivers in every country I have been. All behave the same, holigans on the road.

But what can you do with them? I got a long list of flight attendent number in my phone book. I used to date a few of them, very tiring lor. :Cry:

Hmm. Maybe u r right. Or maybe I m lucky as I got good cab services in HK and Taiwan.

But to be charge at least 30 bucks from

North to east part of spore, I think is very expensive mode of transport. Taxi is meant to be a solution between public n private transport. After this fare increase, it is on par with private transport.

Those who know maths will just go to car showroom n get a 2nd hand car.
