Any members using Nespresso Citiz?

Thinking of buying one for my wife Birthday cos she love drinking coffee... I heard is cheaper to buy in Europe than in SG.. Saw Courts Megastore selling $398.. Any one got better lobang for the machine and capsules ? :bounce:

I have one at home from a Christmas gift 3 yrs ago. But it's true that it's cheaper in Europe, particularly in Switzerland & France. All my capsules are bought by my friends who went to Europe...half the price here.

Yes understand that europe is cheaper. But warranty will be issue!!!

Nespresso local warranty is 2 years and I can say their response is very good. I got red citiz and aerochino last time, the stirrer for aerochino damaged they replace it with new one on spot no question asked. I already donated my citiz set now I am using latisssima model with automatic milk froth. I get flyer that now Nesspresso has $50 discount for all their entire coffee range machines.

I was considering the Nespresso but ended up with the good old fashion Krups expresso machine. I find that the Nespresso is like buying a printer; cheap to buy but the ink is the long term killer. Similarly, the capsule for Nespresso is about a dollar a pop, and that is expensive.

I can get a pack of Starbucks beans for $12, grind the beans when I need to brew and get fresh brew coffee from expresso machine. This is the poor man's way for drinking good coffee la. :becky:

Make sure the Starbucks beans is without sugar contents. Else, yr grinder wouldnt last long!! The cost of the grinder is the same price of Nespressor machine.

Major points why I still popping Nespresso capsule everyday is their consistency in taste & aroma plus convinience.

I used to own Krupps then Jura before getting Nespresso, I am not Coffee Connoisseur who like to roast their own bean for those exotic coffee and I hate cleaning these kind of coffee machine. I also learnt owning automatic coffee machine not cheap to maintain and once grinder damaged few hundred bucks gone. One major pet peeves if bean is not properly kept in our humid environment it give different taste when it was freshly bought & few days after it was opened.

Agreed!!! Only for washing & cleaning. Mine is Jura, cleaning is quite straight forward, pop in a pill then auto cleaning by itself, just by pressing some buttons. Grinder damage is around $300++ plus servicing. So am planning to get this Nespresso machine too

You will need else:

1) A nice comfy couch with silk, high thread counts cover.

2) Automated window binds, so you no need leave the couch during important moments and break the tempo

3) CD-pro Setup sound system to mask the noises, preventing neighbor complains.

4) Nearby wastepaper basket to throw rubbish.

5) Nice clean towels, best egyptians cotton soft. make sure wash first so use le wun fluffed.

6) A clean Man-shirt for her to wear in case her clothes dirty.

Can la bro..more or less liao.

IMO, not much cheaper. Warranty may be a problem.

He is selling the Citiz at $348 with 2 years local warranty and free delivery. Today if you go to Courts/Robinson/Taka/Tangs, you can also get it at $348 (after $50 less) so is not cheaper to buy online.
