Exhaust system upgrade with C&C

Hi Bros,

am aware that the new e-class comes with dual flat tip exhaust system. Backside a little itchy so called to check with C&C.

No quote was given so far but was told the warranty of the exhaust system will be voided. Just curious but does this mean that the retrofit is being done by a third party workshop? If its done by C&C, they should be confident enough to accord the appropriate warranty.

Anyone done any form of upgrade with them can shed some light?

Cheers

you could be refering to those of AMG bodykit that has 1 exhaust outlet/tip at each side.

They should NOT void the warranty if it is done by C&C.

It is your preference but you could check out our sponsors page for AMG kit.

I must tell you that if you are looking for LTA approved W212 performance exhaust....very limited. Close to Non as i had been also trying to find 1 for the past 6 months.

Any bros here that has information on LTA approved W212 performance exhaust.....please share. thanks

Bro, i was referring to this type

http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_photos.php?CarCode=10861&CUR=4#P

Thanks for clarifying, so only they have it..haiz..guess i have to shelve it in view of warranty then.

Bros . Pls do a search on this forum . We had discussed abt this months ago . I was pretty keen to change both my oval exhaust to the trapezium type but in the end I gave up due to many reasons . However I'm sure it can be done without breaching LTA regulations . It's a matter of which kind of mod you prefer and how much you intend to splurge on it . Join us on our outing to discuss further regarding these . Cheers !:hand:

For example, if your car comes only with a single exhaust, can you change it to dual exhaust on both ends, without changing the exhaust system?

Can one side be welded without actually have any gas coming out from it :becky: just for aesthetic reason? :becky:

Off course U can do it! :hand:

U too can get LTA approval for other MB tuners eg. Brabus, Lorinser, etc but U have to go through the whole application yourself.

Most important U must have copies of the relevant TUV certificate for Noise & Pollution Standards.

Just a little update i got from C&C.

Though new batches of E-Class comes with twin Flat exhaust tip, does not mean that they will do it for you.

2 Reasons given:

1) They do not recommend retro fitting as this will void our warranty for the exhaust system and besides, they claimed that the new batches exhaust were fitted in Germany before they arrived in Singapore.

2) LTA approval is an issue as the car is registered with single exhaust tip. Fitting it is like opening a can of worms which will incur nothing but a shitload of paperwork.

On a whole, they will not do it mainly for the latter reason, thus, needless to say, no warranty even if its fitted with them.

Regards
