London, July 29 (ANI): Married men are more likely to cheat on their partners at a wedding, a shocking new survey has revealed.

Over 2,000 men and women were surveyed by top extra-marital dating site, Illicit Encounters with a third of men admitting that they have cheated on their partner at a wedding - when their other half wasn't there, reports the Daily Mail.

While 32 percent of men have cheated at a wedding, only 27 percent had strayed at the stag party.

A spokeswoman for Illicit Encounters, Rosie Freeman-Jones said: "There's something about being a bridesmaid which is incredibly attractive to men.

"Maybe by wearing a bridesmaid outfit they are advertising the fact they are available and also at a wedding everyone is there to have a good time," he added.

Men revealed the places where they had previously strayed:

WEDDING: 32 per cent

STAG NIGHT: 27 per cent

OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY: 21 per cent

SCHOOL REUNION: 9 per cent

Women revealed where they thought their partner was most likely to cheat:

OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY: 37 per cent

STAG NIGHT: 35 per cent

SCHOOL REUNION: 17 per cent

WEDDING: 11 per cent (ANI)

Which brings me to this point: why do we even bother to hold wedding dinner? To please the wife and the in-laws? You waste a lot of time, energy and money doing it and you make everyone including yourself miserable....

Not only that, some bozos splurge on wedding dinner (presumably to impress....when we really aren't) until they become broke and hv to borrow from loanshark and in the end, get themselves in trouble and potentially ruin the marriage. See below:

----------------------------------------------------------------------

From CNA 2 Aug 2011:

SINGAPORE: A project manager was sentenced on Tuesday to seven years' jail and 24 strokes of the cane for loanshark harassment.

Soh Hann Kwang, 36, was almost broke after splurging on his wedding and decided to borrow money from three loansharks.

When Soh was unable to settle his loans, one of the loansharks offered him a job as a runner to pay off his debts.

Soh accepted the offer and harassed 31 different households all over Singapore between June 1 and 14 this year.

He even set fire outside seven of the flats, usually near the front doors, to scare the occupants into paying their debts.

Soh pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including 11 for loanshark harassment. Twenty other charges were taken into consideration during sentencing.

He was also disqualified from driving all classes of vehicles for a year after admitting that he had used his wife's car to travel to his victims' homes.

Soh is not licensed to drive.

The court heard that his wife allowed him to use her car because she was not aware he did not have a Class 3 driving licence.
