C&C installed my small little reverse camera next to the rear view mirror. pasted some black sticker over the wires on the windscreen..... looks ugly .....

Thinking of relocating the unit to maybe beside the IU unit......

Anyone did this before? how much does it cost?

Your RC is outsourced by CnC to Tomo-CSE

U might wanna contact them!

TOMO-CSE AUTOTRIM PTE LTD

Block 3018 Bedok North Street 5

#02-08 Eastlink

Singapore 486132

Tel. 6445 5777

Fax: 6448 4426

Email: [email protected]

What car are you driving?

Depending on your ride, it might be possible to have your reverse camera working with your stock screen.

spoke to Philip from Tomo-cse.. nice guy.. said that new generation model w212 can integrate cam with built in screen. for the w211, not possible, have to use a stand alone system that comes with a 3.5" screen...

IMHO

Probably year of made is 2011.

My W212 YOM is 2010 - cannot fix a camera directly to the Audio 20 HU without a Multi Media Interface.

Damage also depend on the quality of camera used.

A "cheap" after mkt RC can be had for <$100 and a good resolution can be as much as $500 just for the RC without installation.

An original MB RC with all the wiring loom can cost >$1000 not including installation & activating the HU to accept the RC.

End of day is what HU U have and what's your budget!:hand:

btw kepiting bro. .... is this TOMO the same for the leather wrapping?

Thanks so far, you have been a great help!

U are welcome!

CnC used to outsource local leather seats to them. They are still in the car uphostlery business.

Beside RC, CnC also outsource reverse sensors to them & some earlier rides include handsfree bluetooth.

If your B-Class comes with Comand NTG2.5 you can install Backup-Camera.

I have experiened some owner's backup camera provided by C&C not working with Comand APS.

Seems there is no such changes in Audio 20 for W212 with backup camera integration as I have just retrofit a new W212 at HK.

Hi Ricky,

IMHO - B-Class here do not come with NTG 2.5 which U can plug a video-in to the green fakra.

Owners backup camera from CnC not working likely they are in PAL format.

NTG 2.5 more NTSC friendly

Later model of Audio 20 for pre FL W204 & W212 accept input for reverse cam.

Hi Bro, it's very likely C&C has installed a aftermarket MMI (Multimedia Interface) to connect the Backup Camera to your Audio 20 while the MMI being hidden under the stowage box and you're defintely not aware as the MMI has been covered by the carpet.

Such MMI installed in between the video output from your Audio 20 to the display, wheneever it find the reverse gear signal from the CAN Bus, it will jam the video signal from the backup camera to the display and it's not working with the Audio 20 as simply it make use of the display only.

Cheers, Ricky
