19" Rims for W204

Hi everyone! I am new in this forum and just got myself a C180K W204. I love the car and am now thinking of changing the stock rims to 19" REP AMG rims and Continental CSC 5 tyres. I need some feedback if it is feasible to install 19” on this ride? Can the car handle 19"? Will big rims damage the car such as suspension, brake etc? Will it void C&C warranty on the car?

Sorry to post such questions as I am a lady driver and am not really very familiar with the dos/don'ts for cars... :P Many thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

I have a W204 just like yours. I have a set of four 19" AMG original C63 multispoke rims. No problems or whatsoever thus far after two years. My car is even lowered with Eibach springs on top of the Advance Agility Control function which hardens the damping of the car.

Only problem in your case is a replica rim as it may not have the correct offset, which means the tyres or rims might hit your fender if you load in the rear is too heavy. Also bear in mind 19" mean higher fuel consumption as tyres are wider. Do take note of correct tyres size and profile to use.

I am on 225/35/19 on the front and 255/30/19 on the rears. Good luck and have fun modding the ride.

Hi, Vivacious. Warm welcome to you. Do check out the many events we have for meet-ups and join us if you can. Anyway, just to add on to bro LeeCH's post, I am on BE by Breyton GTS-AV 19" rims. No problems whatsoever. I have also lowered my ride on H&R Super Sport springs. The W204 platform can take 19" rims. Look at the C63! With regards to fuel consumption, not exactly true that it will suffer. I ran 780km on 1 tank just recently. Some details of my set-up for your reference.

Rims: 19" x 8.5jj +45

Tyres: 235/35/19

Feel free to ask questions and clarify before committing. Cheers.

LeeCh and Chiaster, appreciate your quick and valuable feedback! :)

My friend recommended me to Ray-S for the REP AMG rims and was offered 225/35/19 non-staggered setup... The rims looks really nice! Will this setup be fine for my ride?

Once again, thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem. Get it fitted and go drive a few rounds. If there are issues, Ray-S should sort it out for you before receiving payment!

Just a word of caution, I've heard many bad experiences with this shop, sometimes prices can be shocking if you didn't do your homework well. Some other good shops you can check with are Leong Seng and Hurry Tyres. No harm doing some comparisons. Personally I prefer Hurry.

BTW, I bought from R..-S 2 years ago, prices were reasonable back then.

My 2 cts...

Had 19s on my car last time felt the ride was too harsh tho the conering ability was excellent these days 18s are perfect for sporty handling and comfort

hahahaha!!!!....look like your backside is as good as mine! 18" my limit on the MB!

BTW If U look at the C & E Class manual, MB do not recommend any 19" and up to 18" only except amg models!

Vivacious, like you nick. ^^ warmest welcome to the forum. Do join us in our meet ups. All the brothers are friendly and HANDSOME and would offer to show u their mods, happily. hehe. Especially Chiaster, got free this free that from his SE.

I am thinking of changing rims too, but I have yet to find one i can totally fall in love with... I think I would just have to lower my ride 1st then pick the shoes. contemplating between Eibach and H&K at the moment ^^

Hi guys n gals,

im new too. First day gotta my ride (W204), changed to 19" replica AMG rims fm LS. Price was right w my advantgande trade-in. Initially wanna 18" replica or original AMY but somewat was brain wasted. Anyway fr self comfort it look v nice on these rims. Fuel comsumption on e high side despite my best effect nt to heavy footed n removal of the original spare tire n rim.

overall, nice to see but if u be done up yr ride ie: tuned. It shld b gd.

fyi, im going back to 18" after obtaining the web pro wheels calculations.

now its yr pick.

cheers everyone!

Thanks to all for your warm welcome and advice!

I love the new look of my car with the cool 19" rims but I find it a little sluggish sometimes, especially going upslope so gotta step harder on the accelerator... I am not sure if it is due to the new rims though...

Some of my guy friends are recommending that I get a body kit for my ride else the 19" rims and tyres kinda look oversized for the car.. Do you all think so?

I am very tempted to get a subtle (not too loud) body kit, DRL and the single-fin front grille.. I think I have been poisoned! :)

My apologies, sidetrack a bit! Buy now if you think the price is right for you, for after the biggest event this year in the country, my guess is that COE will behave "like no tm!!!!"

Anyways, it's nice to know that we have more members joining us! You've made the right choice investing in this good marque....don't be fooled that you're going to get "JOY" with others. :bounce:

Good to know that you're enjoying the look of your ride. :) Yours is a Kompressor and it's supercharged to provide healthy low end torque. It shouldn't feel sluggish from standstill. You probably need to get used to the new 19s as you have upped 2 sizes from stock. There is now more rubber on the tarmac so there's bound to be a bit of negative inertia to get the car up to speed. However, once you do get it cruising, the bigger overall diameter of the wheels should aid in letting the car "glide" over longer distances. It also depends on how you drive the car. Either how, when it comes to looks, the stock W204 is classy and elegant with a subtle hint of sportiness. I think the curves and lines look good enough for a lady driver without it being too "brash". However, if you're looking to go the bodykit route, there's the usual AMG package with the front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper. The front bumper gives you the option of keeping your stock foglamps or you can have the DRLs. Rear bumper also let's you choose between single exhaust outlet or double exhaust outlet. The AMG bodykit gives the car a much more aggressive and wider stance. Do a search online and you'll be able to see pictures of it all over. There's also the BRABUS kit that's a little more refined in terms of how the lines flow across the whole car. More expensive than the AMG one too. The third option will be the Aerodynamic Kit. This consists of front lips, rear aprons, rear diffuser, roof spoiler and boot lid spoiler. I can't remember if the single exhaust tip was included. C&C has this kit as an additional option for additional moolah. I think there should be a few of these running around on the island because I've seen a couple. Perhaps they are not forum members. If you were to make it to our la kopi + tcss session or GTG, you can check out my ride which is fitted with this kit. Otherwise, I've posted pictures of my kit somewhere in the C Class folder.

On another note, getting poisoned is a result of you hanging around and reading all the beneficial information that this platform provides. Thanks to all the gurus here! Welcome to SGMERC! :)
