Hello fellow MB enthusiasts in Singapore!

My name is Juris Bergs, and I recently acquired a 1989 300CE. Although my wife Molly and I live in El Paso, Texas, USA, Molly is from Malaysia, and she has a niece in Singapore. From the latter part of May until June 20th we will be visiting Molly's family in Malaysia and in Singapore. It would be great to meet fellow Merc enthusiasts while we are in Singapore. To tell you more about myself, I am retired from the U.S. Government, where I worked in Washington, D.C., for 33 years before relocating to El Paso, Texas. Molly and I have 2 kids, both of whom are now attending university.

Best regards to all,

Juris

Welcome hope to see u & Molly sooner. Any pics of yr ride?

Thanks for the welcome message. Right now the only pics I have were taken the day I first brought my "baby" home, and I didn't even have a chance to clean her up. At the moment she is in the garage being fixed up. When everything is finished, I will bring her outside to take some pics then. I just completed refinishing the woodwork in the console. A friend of mine and I started replacing the sunroof motor but haven't been able to figure out yet just how to get the cable into the new motor. We had to take apart the old motor in order to get the cable out. We don't want to do that with the new motor. Another thing I need to do is to replace the blower motor before the hot weather gets here, which will be soon. For that job, however, I will have to take her to a mechanic. I don't consider myself technically savvy enough to tackle a job of such magnitude.

I look forward to meeting you and the other members of SGMERC, if only our schedules don't clash while Molly and I are in Singapore.
