DIY paint job? U paint I paint

In the midst of painting my interior & exterior trim. Since I m onto this paint job thingy must well share some basic tips & tricks of DIY paint job. I m still learning & not good at it all, but who cares!!

1) Preparation

a) choice of color spray paint

clear coat spray paint - is a must after each paint job

c) super fine sand paper

d) scraper or spatulas for hard & stubborn stain

2) Lets start!!

a) using the fine sand paper & dips it with some water. And you are good to go, remember to sand it lightly & gently. Just like your first kiss, u know!!

next clean the area with a damp cloth & dry it with a clean cloth.

3) Spray time!! - virgin coating

a) place yr product in an angle that you can spray evenly & lightly. The first coat is just let the paint "bite" into the product. So not too many layer of coating. If too much & uneven spraying, will end up some parts of the paint coat is thicker or uneven. I accidently drop the trim on the paint residue as shown in the picture. No panic, remember your sand paper? wait for the paint to dry then apply 2) method. Apply this method over & over again if don't like the result of the paint job.

4) the result? - wait for 10 to 20 minutes after each layer of new coat else u will end up with uneven coating. Be patience on spray painting job, if u rush into it the result will not be good. Once you are done with it, spray a layer of clear coating. This is the final step & the most important steps too. Again don't spray too much else you have to apply no 2) method & your whole day effort will be wasted.
