Hello Merc community.

Iam a long time Mercedes enthusiast from germany staying for a while in Singapore.

I wonder if everybody is carrying the money for every repair to C&C or is there is there also a DIY community which is maintaining their cars with used parts?

Is there eventually a need to ship used or refurbished parts from germany ?

Well, It actually depends on what is the parts, which can be DIY..

there are some who would rather ship the $$ to C&C/workshops to do the parts.

some would look around for parts and DIY, sometimes, DIY the feeling is so different! more SIOK!

Well there are always parts brand new from local merc stockists(do a search here) or used parts from breaker yards like propel to pickup hard to find stuff.

If you have any intent on shipping used and refurb'd parts from Germany for the local market I think that will be an excellent idea! Euro exchange rate is favourable too.

i second that. hope you can include 2nd hand or refurbished parts for the older classics too if you do decide to go ahead with this.

I think that as long as the prices are competitive, there will be a demand for it.

But as Singapore is a small market, you will need to also consider export to around the region.
