My new car beeps sound disable when doors open/close. Is there a way to activate it or need to go back to C&C? Btw, what's your preference, with or without beep sound? Need your opinion, please!

The beep comes on if you car door is opened and you are driving off.

No sound when you are stationery.

The chime for car doors when opened are usually enabled for cars sold in US. But here we wont appreciate this feature, except...

Well, I believe the feature can be enabled via MB diagnostic tools.

My previous VW has auto-lock at >15km/h, alarm, etc.. built in but was disabled. Some forum guys got hold of VAG tool and managed to enable it. I think VW wants some $ if you were to enable to alarm. And we did it for free.

Yes! VAGCOM from Ross-Tech can do lots of thinks especially activating features that the car came with but not activated by the dealers.

That's also the reasons why some Volks/Audi kakies bought VAGCOM themselves.

eg. needle sweep, battery voltage display, enabling DRL, enabling TPMS, flashing brake lights for emergency braking, lap timer, etc.......hehehe!

Hi Bro Camber53 if U are reading this!

Can this feature be activated by Xentry?

Well, lock/unlock beeping feature is also in my previous VW... can be enabled using VAGCOM tool ... i am not sure about Mercs... but i believe they are built in as well and just need to be enabled via Merc's proprietary OBD tool.

Yup, it can be done by C&C. My friend when for servicing and requested the technician to enable beep sound already. Cool... mine will be next.
