Hi all,

I'm about to take the leap for my first Merc. It's a 08 UK Spec C280 with AMG

Sports package..comes with Comand APS,Linguatronic,Advanced Agility Control,18 inch AMG,partial electric seats..

Is there anything that I should look out for in particular? Will be checking out the car soon.Appreciate your inputs..

Rgds

Parallel import used car from UK? Make sure you have the full service history of the car. Check for under carriage rust too.

Well, for PI cars in Msia...u'll never get the service record..gone with the wind.

Undercarriage checked and no signs of rust..

Thanks for the tip Jtang..

Btw, mileage indicates 29k kms..how true that is I'm not sure..interior looks new though..compartments like unused..

Any idea if the local Merc dealer like C&C Malaysia can trace the service records? But then...I just made the booking just now..so hope all goes well.

Very unlikely to retrieve any info from C&C M'sia as the car is not from them. You may want to consider "adoption" with a fee into C&C to undertake all warranties.

Well, wish that could be done but unfortunately not..in fact, even for sending PI cars in for servicing,C&C Malaysia will charge higher compared to the local or CBU units from them..my only choice is the 3 months warranty on gearbox and engine provided by PI.
