Good news for some new E Class & C Class owners!

Looks like some new MBs (C & E Class) from C&C are now factory fitted with Multl Media Interface (MMI)

Saw a 2 days A207 fitting Garmin GPS to his ride this afternoon.

The tell tale sign is that if your new MB comes with Reverse Camera going through the stock LCD screen means it comes with MMI.

The MMI beside having the reverse camera input has a RGB input for eg. Garmin GPS plus another set of RCA video input.

U mean I needs to get the Garmin cable to interface with MMI to my audio as I don't hv a reserve cam?? Even there is such cable I needs to change the screen to touch screen type. Is the new model E & C is audio is touch screen enable?

Garmin GVN53 GPS uses a radio Hz remote control no touch screen with the Audio 20.

What I m saying the new models - I heard some rides came with RC playing through the stock LCD screen.

Just now - I saw a 2 days old C&C A207 E200CGI factory fitted with MMI with RC.

All the owner need to do to have GPS is just to buy a Garmin GVN53 and plugged it to the factory fitted MMI and he has navigation.

That new A207 owner happen to drop by our Nov GTG with his black ML350.

Looks like MY2011 at least on the A207 I saw earlier came with factory fitted MMI.

Our fren's A207 paid $700+ for the GVN53 including installation.

Think it cost U more if U go and purchase it yourself over the net.

Orh where to get it installed? If too ex, I can't afford leh. Bor bian used my iPhone free appa compass to find my direction.

Does your A207 comes with factory fitted RC goin through your stk LCD screen?

If dun have means U dun have factory fitted MMI and U gotto buy an aft mkt MMI like I did before.

My 2 month old W204 comes with RC and upon engaging the reverse gear, it will show up the video into my screen panel. Does this mean there is an MMI fitted? with unused RGB input? If so, my puny brain is gonna be thinking of all sorts of stuff to connect in :bounce:

Unker, like that can install Digital TV or not on my W204? Screen a bit small for watching, but still can listen lor. hahahaaa....

If this route is available, what must be purchased?

But I think the RC is locally fitted ones, not factory fitted ... so not sure locally fitted RC is considered having MMI bo :becky:

Yes! I think yours came with factory fitted MMI.

It got a RBG input and at least a video input (RCA) but no audio input!

Fitting a Garmin GVN53 is a good idea for the RGB input.

The garmin GVN53 comes with it's own speaker for navigation.

This mean U can continue to listen to your radio or CD while doing navigation!

IIRC, AutoSpritze (Wee Heng) told me they have a bigger LCD screen for W204 - not confirmed though cos old man ears sometimes beh chun.....hehehe!

If yours has factory fitted MMI, off course U can have DTV but U have to use your aux input for the sound.....cos the factory fitted MMI has no audio input by itself......hehehe!

Aaah, I was still hoping to be able to make a really small box for doing live Internet radio streaming... maybe need to consider MMI with more output ports....
