Forming a band

I am looking for fellow Merc owners here who are closet musicians to form a band. My plan is to organise concerts and raise money for charity. This can be our way of paying back to society since we are fortunate to be able to own a Merc in our lifetime, etc etc.

I have been thinking of doing this for years but never gotten around to actually taking action. The other day I saw a group of youths busking in the underpass at Wheelock Place, playing classical music, and that got me thinking again.

My idea is to play simple pop from the 70's, 80's & even 90's (music that you hear on FM 90.5 and FM 95). Maybe even some Mandarin songs?

We can start small, busking, etc, generally having fun and getting people to enjoy the music and donating to a worthy cause.

What do you guys think of this idea? Tell me if I am crazy!

I have a drummer and a keyboardist ready.

Need a bassist, 2 or more vocalists/singers, guitarist etc.

For starters we can get together, rent a few hours in a studio and jam and then decide.

Come on, dont sing in the shower, dont sing only in K-box. Let's try this out?

hey, I like your idea! Its very intersting concept and do it with a big heart!

I can sing abit, not so good la...don't mind to do it for charity if I can fit in...
