Can I check with you guys if W203/W204 need LED T10 pole lights that are error-free? If so, where can I get hold of these locally or online?

Or can I just get any T10 LED lights and plug and play?

Thanks!:becky:

Yes, it needs to be error-free.

Try not to get those with built-in resistors. Better to slice your wiring to add independent resistor.

Just curious y slice is better than built-in resistors? Most of us prefer built-in.

AFAIK, the resistor will get too hot and caused the LED to blow after a few months. My installer bought in a few to try, and none actually survive more than a year....

Hmm I think not all brands having this problem. As for slicing the wire to connect posed some danger too. But somehow I do agree with u as my previous ride have install LED with & without built in resistor, the latter do last. My previous ride eyelid & license plate are install without built-in resistor.

U mean U add resistor yourself?

Or rather U did not face error problem with non-resistor bulbs?

My previous ride Unker. Mine is the festoon type, so i went to autobacs got it installed WITHOUT build in resistor. I told them the type and model of the resistor for the rear licence plate. As for the front eyelid, installed by Autospritz bcos the one WITH build in resistor CMI, which i got it from ebay.

hahahaha! I believe U cos I've also encountered some white LED festoon bulbs WITHOUT in-built resistor work on the W211 licence plate bulbs without error.

I have quite a big collections of white LED bulbs from eBay!

One day during GTG - do open Boot Sale......hahahaha!

heh! Why not arh! Next GTG - Bring anything U dun need and have open boot sale....hehehe!

Unker no electrical engine near!

Ya! Lots of heat built-up in resistors and the appropriate ones are "large" ceramic resistor with the correct rating.

Ai mai! I still got some ceramic resistors for T10 & Festoon bulbs.

kay khian use the wrong one - catch fire and burnt down the car, then claim insurance.....hahaha!

DIYed the ceramic resistor on my W203 festoon licence light & white LED Panel for Front dome lighting.
