In today's Straits Times, Stamford tyres advertised CSC3 225/45 R17 for $188 each, including fitting and balancing. As I am in the market for a fresh set of tyres, what do you guys think of this price? What is the regular price for this?

Thats a damn good price! IIRC, it cost >$300 per pc for 225/45/17.

My colleague gotten his 18" for ard $450 per pc.

look out for the date of manufacturing...maybe they are clearing old stock...

They are clearing old stocks to make way for CSC5 (they skipped CSC4 model number!). I've used CSC3 before, I must say they are "grippy" without being too harsh on ride.

The advertisement mentioned that these tyres are manufactured within the last 12 months. IMHO, if you are just merely commuting in this country and not seeking adrenalin rush moments on the tracks or "showing off" moments, it's quite a good price since some have paid much more for it.

With CSC5 now out, the product life cycle for CSC3 and thus its pricing should be heading south, naturally. So, why not?

It is a real deal and i changed it for my 320i. Changed my tires in October and signed on the dotted line for a C180K two weeks after. Really goodu !

Regular price from Tirepac is $250 and S$188 is a good deal. Was told that each branch only have stock for 5 cars - 20 tires.

Anyway, I managed to sell away the tires and managed to cut some losses. IMO, the CSC 3 are nice tires, pretty quiet, tires are light (improved FC) and grip is decent. However, there are some comments that the wear rate is poor.

If there is another similar deal, don't miss it. This profile will be the same for the stock rims for the C class. - 225/45/17.

Cheers
