What petrol best suits the C180 CGI?

I know some will say all petrol same and juz go for the biggest discount.

I've tried all the diff brands of RON98 for my previous TC ride and found that Caltex Techron 98 seems to work best - smooth idling and responsive.

So for the CGI, I've stuck wif Techron but use 95RON instead since it's the recommended grade and the stock engine tune not very 'garang'. Engine also has smooth idling and responsive. No complaints.

Thot i'd try my luck to win another C-Class by switching over to Esso Synergy 5000 this time round. Dunno if it's psychological or what but somehow, the engine feels less willing and idling seems less smooth. Maybe there are small little men in red uniform inside the engine after all...LOL!

So C180 CGI bros, what are u using? Haven't tried Shell & SPC yet.

I am on Esso 5000 since I got the car in the first week of October. Decided to go with Esso because of the association with Mobil for the engine oil (which is supposed to be preferred over other brands for MB).

Haven't actually tried any other brands on this car. Does Caltex really work better for the C180 CGI?
