Hi Folks,

need a little help here.

I read on the Strait Times that there is a promotion for the C200.

Something that goes "Up to 42k discount" .....

Current price shown on Sgcarmart is 180K for C200 ...

Anyone knows how does the discount/promotion works ?

180k becomes 140k ????? : )))))))

As usual depending on what loan amt u opt for which finance company u goes to what interest rate u interested in taking up on obviously the higher int rate gives u more disc etc so it's still marketing gimmick left right pocket still same pocket btw I tot that's the demo unit going at a discounted rate for various selected model

180k (RRP) - 10k (overtrade discount) - 20k (cash rebate) -4k (service credits) -3k (accessories voucher). But the last 2 not realli a discount but rather a credit. Hence, so-called "effective" price is 140k+.

It's a marketing gimmick. Real buying price is $170k.

OIC ... Thanks ..

Like the discount ... not very attractive anymore ..

That's why C&C is bringing in the 1.6L C180K again. Guess their promo gonna scream something like "Buy a C-Class at 110k!". :tsk::tsk:

not a bmw fan. but it is one of my selection choices including the A4, S80 and the new super smooth Lexus 250. (from prices around $150ish +- 20%) Technical specs aside.

Bmw came in nowhere near the rest, sadly, feels a little over rated. I felt empty and unimpressed.

A4 feels like my younger days when I love to tune my VAGs.

Lexus makes me feel like my wise and caring boss wanted me to have.

Volvo calls upon my childhood days, when safety was paramount.

In a MB, with its new look (compared to pre 07 facelift), and feel, unites all those feelings into one singular time and space continuum, giving me a thats me, right here, right now.

your call, and enjoy^^

IMHO,

Audi like the A4 B8 2.0 TFSI Quattro is good for "spirited driving"!

Easy to do perf. mod with lots of tuner out there.

Quattro is superb when comes to handling.

Though does take out the fun of a rear wheel drive....hahaha!

More spacious than a C with the 2.8m wheelbase.

However not for old man like me who want more "refinement", quiet and comfortable ride.

I see see look look ..

also like C200 more than the A4 n 3series ....

If budget not a problem .. then the E Cabrio is best choice .. hahaha

If U are looking at the A4, IMHO U should be looking at the 2.0 TFSI Quattro.

It's a different animal compare to the A4 1.8T front drive MU.

In term of performance & handling, the C200 is no where near & also the $$$. :)

The A4 2.0 price tag too high le, only can conisder PI.

C200 .. well its more of the brand lah.

I see a Merc drive pass, i will admire it for a second...

but see a Audi .. nothing happens leh... hahahaha

Hi,

Sidetrack from the C200 abit, but does any bro here know what is the price of the C180K BE before the COE run up in March ?

Planning to get the C180K but was wondering if I'm paying more to Govt or AD.

Thanks.

The latest Listed price for the C180K is S$153,888, C&C will offer overtrade, discount, service credits etc and I believe the netted buy price should be around S$ 140k +/-.

The listed price for the C200 CGI is currently at S$188,888. C&C will offer similar deal, netted price should be in the S$ 170 +/-.

No sure what is the actual buy price, I would suggest for you to drop by C&C to get the up to date pricing.

Cheers

Thanks. AD offering only 3k overtrade and 3k service credit. I wish it is as low at 140k.

I was actually wondering what is the price of C180K BE in Feb 2010 when the COE was sub 20k.

Any bros here bought before March 2010 ? Care to share the price ?

My guess is that AD probably has achieved their numbers for the year and they are not "hungry" for more sales. If I am not wrong, MB was the no. 1 selling brand in singapore in Sep and Oct 2010.

I booked my car in Oct and my netted price was below S$140k and I am surprised that the price has gone up so much since. They were definitely offering more than 3K overtrade and 3 k service credits then.

I doubt AD has sold the C180K below 130k even during the bad times in

Y2008/Y2009.

actually is not really discount. mainly rebate. like u order B class they upgrade u C class. not really. like trade in got $3k rebate. then full loan got 3% rebate. then discount there discount there.

Hmm my previous ride CLC brought in Feb 09 for $126k after the surge in the COE, the price shoot up to $163k I think. We can't ask for the old Buy price, can we?

What u do, is to ask for more freedies & high trade in price. Coz I m quite sure they won't burge on the NOW selling price, :).
