Aaaaaa...... sorry blackmerc i ?????????????

w204 is fitted with NGT X ?

Most W204 is fitted with Audio 20.

IIRC U got a 5.3" LCD screen or maybe smaller

U probably has a CD changer, fm/am radio & Blue Tooth.

And also U likely to have an auxilliary input.

COMMAND NTG 4 is a totally different head unit as a $13,500 option from C&C.

It comes with GPS Navigation, DVD Changer, 40Gb Hard Disk, PCMCIA Adpator for SD Card, VIM (Video In Motion), FM/AM Radio, Bluetooth, iPod/iPhone, USB, Auxillairy Input. Option for Digital TV, Digital Audio Brocasting & Reverse Camera. Full options will be closed to $20,000 with Linguatronic Voice Controls. U control the HU with your voice, be it Navigation, Phone contatcs and simply turning on the FM radio and say the Hz you want.

Currently my W212 is also with Audio 20 with UCI Media Interface - 3 cables for iPod/iPhone, USB & Aux In.

I used a after market interface which I added reverse camera, digital tv and Garmin GPS all playing throug the stock LCD screen and keeping all controls.

If U wanna fit the after mkt Multi Media Interface (MMI)

Go to AutoSpritze

115 Eunos Ave 3

Contact person: Ah Boon - 81633839 (office hours0

If U see him, tell him Mr. Seah from Batam sent U!

U will be able to gip U a "fair price" depending on the options U want i.e

Media Interface with GPS, DVD Changer with USB, Digital TV, Reverse Camera.

ok thk u. so from what i read w204 is NGT2.5 right unker?

W204 should be fitted with NTG4

W204 has separate LCD screen and HU

NTG2.5 - complete HU with LCD screen

W211 - NTG2 - (originally fitted) & NTG 2.5 (newer rides)

i have purchased interface from overseas and will get it fix into my ride back in sin when back end of next week. hopefully it will turn out good.

intend to have digital tv, reverse cam and ipod. my budget not more then $1200.

so far interface, NTG cable 518 (was told required for NTG4) and ipod cable cost me less then $700.

any comments from unker, bro blackmerc or other bros if its a good way to do it? will i be able to get the same set-up wired up at autospritz for $1200 or less?

hope can give other bro who r interested to go this way a reference point. also hope more bro will come forward and share their experience with in car entertainment system thru this thread.

Why are U buying NTG4 cable?

Your current HU is not NTG4 but Audio 20.

After Market Interface like those from XCarlink can be purchased by about

S$300+

However I was told by them they are currently out of stock for Audio 20 except NTG4 (I had purchased 1 set in case I install NTG4 on my ride so that I can keep my NTG4 installation simple, keep my Dig TV, Garmin GPS & Reverse Camera to be used in com=njunction with NTG4)

http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/home.php?cat=22

1. MMI - S$300+

2. The Garmin GPS GVN53 - IIRC is about S$800+ if U buy it from the net.

3. Digital TV can purchase locally for around $200

4. DVD Single Player depends on brand add another $250

5. Reverse camera can be purchased for

p.s Garmin GPS GVN53 is best connected by RGB cable. garmin do not provide this cable. The after mkt MMI has RGB input. So U must know how to make the RGB cable for the Garmin GVN53 to be connected to the after mkt MMI.

So if U are adventurous enough for D.I.Y, the above serve as a rough guide how muchee U gotto pay for the hardware and what U need to know.

Hopefully U don't break any panel, damaged your Audio 20 HU or your LCD screen.

Unker. Can advise how much does the NTG4 cost? It comes with 7 inch screen right?

NTG4 costs est. $13-4K @ C&C. Retro-fitted by reowned Comand's installers would be much much much cheaper and certainly affordable. Of course, also with a peace of mind where you know that it's handled by a guru. Yes, NTG4 is with 7" screen.

You won't go wrong if you followed the advice from a person whom "throw-$-to-learn-experience". Of course, that's no other than Unker!

Cheers! :)

Anyway the GB is called off due to not meeting the minimum 5 rides!

Parts are legitimate & new thus "not cheap" ending up with poor response.

Sad!....U got any other way?

Unker, we could have many other ways like obtaining the parts, doing the installation but the only concern that was puzzling me is the STAR thingy. I suppose this would be the vital process to activate the Comand. Perhaps, you may approach AS to determine if they could render assistance on this portion.

Cheers! :)
