C180/200 any idea how many speakers ?

hmmm, good question. But i dunno. googled for 2 hours still cant find... zzzz. Definitely more than 6. =)

My guess will be 5 speakers in total maybe 7.

2 tweeters in front + 2 mid woofers front doors + 1 8" sub on the rear parcel tray = 5 and maybe 2 more on the rear passenger doors =7:becky:

Actually, i can see 2 tweeters + 2 woofers at front 2 doors, 2 tweeters + 2 woofers at rear 2 doors ... so total 8.

Then on the dash, there are supposedly somemore but i dont know how many more.

And the rear behind the rear seats there are somemore... also dont know how many more.

If 3 rear + 3 front... then total 14 .... but 14 is a lot, which i am not sure for cars like entry level W204 ... there are actually so many.

in the audio manual, its just says optional "kardon7" (or something like that). and nothing more.

U sure U saw so many speakers physically or just mounting locations for possible speakers?

Maybe U are so lucky to have the $3000 option for Harman/Kardon LOGIC 7 surround sound system! IIRC total 14 speakers.

If you have the Harman Kardon Logic 7, as your front door speakers will have the HK badge. Likewise in the boot on the amp location near the 1st aid cover.

On your HU there will be settings for the Logic 7 too!

rite.... so mostof us have craps (without the HK badge) that we dun even know.... rofl.

nonetheless, the sound is pretty ok for a start.

Dun recall reading specifically how many airbags in it too.

I don't remember got HK option in the HU....but thought I saw the HK badge on one of the 2 rear dash speaker grill....

the HU got surround option though...

Reporting back:

Only 7 speakers in total for W203.

2 tweeters and 2 speakers on the front doors + 2 speakers on the rear doors + 1 subwoofer speaker on the rear shelf/dash under one of the 2 speaker grills..

The other speaker grill on the rear shelf is empty and filled with rubber foam.

Unker has stripped the whole W203 apart 2 years back for the finals in the local IASCA finals in 2008. Old man poor memori lah!

Thanks! i found total 9 speakers... and mine's Audio 20 ... not HK logic 7.

But there are totally 14 speaker mounting position... so max possible is 14 speakers.

Sound for Audio 20 is acceptable.

Airbags wise, total 6 airbags only (as compared to 7 on IS250, AR159 and 8 on BMW 3er)

yours is w204? Wow...14 speakers position....iirc my former car only had 13 speakers mcintosh...good enough for my ears already.

Anyway, is the 9 speaker Audio 20 a worthwhile upgrade to the H/K7?
