Thanks bro blackmerc! Already bought the rims, now at LS sending it for grinding. Some kerb rashes, so wanna get it done 1st. When I looked at the rims, it's TSMLJ! Offset is 33 so should have no problems.

Guys, need some help here...

When I ferry full load for the rear, there's some abrasions while going over humps. The tyre profile is 265/35/18 ET33. Think a spacer should be added, but at what size?

Think might go to Lye Design tomorrow. From what I read at mbworld, some knockings and wheel alignment must be done... Spacer might not help as mine is -offset.

IIRC In Singapore, it's an offence under LTA to knocked out your fenders!

In other countries like US, U can do lots of things U can't do here to your car.

I think your rims offset is too aggressive and your wheels are protruding out of your wheel arch or just at the edge of your fender. That's why on the move, it rubs! Your rims look like not suitable for your ride!

The rear rims should be 9.5" wide. From what I read at mbworld, even if the offset's ride, slight rubbing will occur at full load. A bracket that is holding the bumper to the fenders should be the culprit. Have to trim it...

Ehh.. not really knocking out the fenders, just trimming... In sg, there's a saying, " you can do anything, but dun get caught..."

IMHO, If the rims are right!

There should not be any rubbing at any place whether with half load or full load or over any "normal road" surface conditions!

Yeh... you're right. Cos of the width of the rims, rubbing occurs. Boh pian, that's for buying 2nd hand rims...

Go to Lye Design and get yr rear fender roll. Did you check yr offset before u purchase yr rims? If the offset is wrong is pointless to get yr fender roll.

Good luck

Just went to look for Ah Lye today. Apparently the garnish on the left wheel arch was loose, and the tyres were rubbing against it when fully loaded. His workers secured it, and they say there was no need to roll fenders. Means my offset's right... :)
