C & C service centre at Ubi

With all the recent bashing of C & C servicing... I would like to share my pleasant experience going to their Ubi workshop today.

Over the weekend, while washing my car ('09 W211), I made a bad mistake by raising the wipers from their normal position to clean them. In doing so, the wipers scrapped against the paint work of the bonnet and scratched off a sizeable amount of paint.

While driving to work this morning, I decide to stop by C & C Ubi and get a bottle of touch up paint from them. The service technician, Osman, intially told me no stock and they will need to order from Pandan Gardens. He said he will try his very best to get it to me on the same afternoon. I told him no problem... I can come back later to collect and proceed to make payment.

Afterwards, I decided to show him the scratch on the paint work and he said I should have shown him earlier then I don't need to buy the touch paint. He proceeded to get a bottle of used paint and touch up my bonnet. After finishing, he commented my paint work was still in very good condition (although there was heavy rain yesterday and the car was quite dusty) and ask me if I would like to free car wash. I readily agreed and the car wash was done in like 25 mins.

Great service from C & C IMHO.... have to give them credit when credit is due. Made my day! :bounce:

Later I will take and share but it is resulting from lifting the wipers to wash windscreen. If u lift it all the way... it will rub against the bonnet. Was told by technician that I should stop the wipers mid way then lift it for washing.

hahahaha! I know how it scrap the bonnet cos it happened to my FLW211 too. Sim thia that time!

KNN! So it's not just me but rather than the car design.....hahahaha!

When U lift the wiper up on the driver side, U have to slowly lift it.

The clearance between the wiper "stem/holder" and the edge of the bonnet is quite small and U lift the wiper up too quickly, you will likely scrap the edge of the bonnet.

Best is to put your right hand to hold down the "wiper stem/holder" and the left hand to lift the wiper blade upwards. Think it's only the driver side wiper.

Bro st8800 - Good SA must share name leh!

Maybe U do a youtube video to enlighten our Bro Blackmercs.....heheheh!:becky:
