Am sure the subject matter is buried somewhere in this forum. Apologies.

I would like to install in-car, motion detecting camera that records even after engine is switched off. One with night capability would be ideal.

A battery operated one lasts several hours only. I would like to connect to the car battery but am afraid that it will drain it in a couple of days.

Any way to install another battery that is also charged when the engine is running?

Any recommendations?
