Headlamps washer spray

My car has this feature with the Intelligent Lights option. Was told by my SE on delivery that this spray only works when the you spray the windscreen 10 times with headlights on. I have yet to try this feature as I have never sprayed more than 2 times when driving at night. I wonder why MB made this stupid programme. My other cars VW & Lexus only need the first spray with the headlights on to activate it.

Any bro can enlighten me?

When I had the Audi Q5 & A4, I wanted to VAGCOM it that the headlamp washer will only activate every 1000 wipes.

In Singapore it's dusty and when the headlamp washer activate, water will be splashed over the car bonnet/grill and leaving a mess on it. :Cry:

My W204 has the same issue. It's the norm while my Peugeot headlamps washer spray activates everytime during the 1st spray with headlights on.
