Who is a good Service Consultant at Alexandra branch?

My experience with Volvo was that there will always be the "Good, the Bad and the Ugly" when it comes to SC.

Gonna be sending my car for my 1st 15k soon. So...wanna get feedback. Who are the good SCs and who to avoid. In my books, a good SC is someone who is technically competent, listens to all your complains, and actually acts on them.

Some SC are so jaded that when they hear small complains & request, they give you that "What!!!, this kind of thing also want me to fix?????@@??##" kinda look. My car is pulling left a bit, so want them to do alignment again.

Any recommendations??

I send my ride in recently to lubircate my right side wing mirror!

Attended to by a Mr. Selvaraju - told me he has worked 26 yrs with C&C.

Pretty ok with me!

Sorry guys, one more question.

Anybody has a list of what are covered in each service? Something like this :-

S40ServicePrices.jpg

I am due for 15k service, and want to know if cabin filter will be changed as standard or do I need to specifically ask for it, and pay extra.

Also is the wheel rotation & balancing done FOC or must pay. If need to pay, then I might as well just go South East Tyre.

Here's one from MBWorld but it's in miles for the W212 E350, E550

Maybe can be used as a rough guide.

Ping...since you are into WoWo, and I don't want to OT here, can you comment on WoWo servicing charges and whatever WoWo in the WoWo thread here? http://www.sgmerc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5704

I am waiting to see the new S60 that is coming soon and a bit of tips regarding WoWo would certainly help. Thanks.

Hi Clkasse,

I went to the other thread and could not find a discussion on WoWo servicing, so let's stick with this thread. I would say that from a regular servicing perspective, I believe, although I have not owned other brands like BM, Merc (till now), Audi, etc the prices are about the same. The pricing sheet I showed is still quite accurate till today for the old S60. Not sure about the new S60. You need to be nice, and try and wiggle the service pricing sheet from the sales consultant.

As to major repairs, I would say that that's typically quite expensive. If it is mechanical (can't go wrong type) of work, I would get it done outside. Same like Merc, there are lots of online shop selling parts for WoWo. I did myself try one with the drive shaft replacement.

Simple enough and saved SGD140.

My S60 was reaching 6yrs, and reaching 180k mileage. Was told by Service Consultant gear box needed to be changed. Quoted $8k. Never went thru with it cause I changed to the C200, and loving it :becky:
