Is sprint booster really effective?

hi all, am thinking of installing a sprint booster in my ride. but before i commit a few hundred dollars on a tiny device, just want to know if any bros have any feedback on the effectiveness of this device. I know it doesn't increase any horsepower, but does installing it really give it a shorter accelerator to movement response? thanks

Hey bro, suggest mods like light-weight pulley, headers, exhaust system for true power and acceleration, chip upgrade, etc. This is money better spent.

definitely true but honestly speaking even after doing those mods,

i feel the cheapest and most bang for your buck mod is SB/ 3 drive.

Bro btw if u want 3 drive (adjustable SB) i know a fella selling is for $250 brand new.

SB really makes your ride want to chiong all the time. Throttle response is crazy it just wants to pull and pull and pull somemore

depend on your budget, SB is quite an effective and affordable mod for some Oomps acceleration.

Light-weight pulley and tuning is good but is slightly ex.....(if budget allows then mod all the way ya)

happy modding

cheers

Does S$250 include installation? :)

Me not really into modding - quite happy with stock (usually)...hahah

If you are happy with your ride, suggest that you give this a miss. I had the 1st generation SB installed in my Lexus GS300 2 yearss ago & the car literally went beyond sports mode all the time. I didn't dare to try Sports Mode. Wheelspins became a common feature whenever you take off even lightly. I had to learn to feather the throttle everytime & it took me less than 2 months to finally say "Hell with it!". Had it removed by myself as it's just a plug & play device, & returned to the installer who repackage it to sell again. Not sure about the SB3 which is adjustable, but then again why need this headache?

I had one installed into my BMW 525 previously. It gave the car more oomph by tricking the CPU into a "step-down" mode most of the time. If your car is lacking in power, then I guess it's a good mod but if you have a high cc engine with sufficient, then it might be a good idea to give it a pass unless you absolutely enjoy high accereleration all the time. Like bro jtang - I also removed mine.
