It's seems like day one yr ride problems never stop. Send yr ride back for rectification ALL yr issue & ask them for a loan car, else sell it away!!! Yr car will get e award for Most problematic ride in 2010 if u don't get it done.

Does your car come with Adaptive Brakes with HOLD function?

My didn't come with this feature, but read that if you step your brake for a few seconds, the HOLD function gets activated so that it will help to hold on to your brakes and you can rest your legs....

Maybe your car has this function?

Cheers,

Mark

No Issues to the above as W204 is like that. My is mid 2009 W204

Its the Build in features that helps to "Brake" or some called its "Brake asssist"

initally I tot some problems too but realise its not after doing some research and reading the manual. I use these features when coming down on a Multi Storey circular car park, it will "auto" brake and let the car "roll" down slowly.

Hi Lightning,

Thanks for the update. I meant to tell vincemerz that my previous ride (also a w204) does not have the "HOLD" function.

By the way, not aware that my E250CGI have this HOLD function.... thought it is an optional item? My E250 is new from C&C.

Cheers,

Mark

My SE assumes that I am familiar with all the functions since I used to drive the W204.

Anyway, good to know some of these new functions... enjoying these additional functions such as the intelligent lightings, parking guidance, etc.

Will try out the HOLD function later....

Thanks!

Might have been out of the topic.... but I have just tested the HOLD function. Nice!

Didn't figure out how to use it previously and thought mine didn't come with this feature. So must depress the brake pedal, then "really quickly" depress the brake further.... Now I can rest my leg while waiting for the traffic lights!

As for the parking guidance, never have a chance to test out.... have not seen the arrow sign besides the "P"....

Fun to learn new tricks everyday....

Enjoy your ride!

Mark

Practice make perfect!

Needs some practice before U can continously & "successfully" apply the

HOLD function.

The trick is to do a "double kick" like stepping your parking brakes.

Haha... you are right!

After the whole day of practice, the HOLD function becomes a very useful feature now and used it everytime now!

Just worried I will have a problem adjusting when change car next time!

As for the parking guidance, tried 2-3 times. Quite fun, but think will take more time and effort than just doing the usual "check right/left mirrors" to parallel park.

Really interesting to learn new tricks everyday...

Cheers,

Mark
