I am also having the same problem on my C200. At 1st thought something to do with brakepad worn out but after breakpad change still having the sound... It happened on and off so can't be bother so long it doesn't affect the braking...

I don't have the sound but can certainly feel the car jerk when I am cruising down to a halt and then stepping on the gas...the gear box was like sort of lost for a split second and didn't know which gear to select...

Mine only happens in the morning or after I parked my car for a few hours.

My ride too is having such symptom. Was feeling so uncomfortable that I sent my ride to C&C for a check-up and was told that it's normal. End up spending $83x.xx for a normal servicing.

Cheers! :)

I agreed, end up they will just do a simple brake servicing and same symptom appears the next day.

Ya lor! Since I am driving to Genting next week, that's why I sent in to C&C for a check-up getting the assurance (for a peace of mind) from them. Hence, mentally I just ignore it.

Cheers! :)

My C180 also kena after I changed to 19" rims. Send to C&C they say it's the rims. Send to rim workshop they say C&C. Now just live with the sound. Sharp braking sound can be heard when starting to drive off and also on rainy days. My ride coming 2 yrs liao

My previous SLK (R170) had this, my current C180 (W203) has this and my 325i (E93) has this. I have learnt to live with it.

My few weeks old c180 also had the same problem. My bro told me to live with it as it happened to his too:tsk::bounce::tsk:
