How much does a 3M floor mat cost for W204 and where to buy?

Is it true it will be smelly?

Cause the W204 guide is say cant put any mat on top of the original mat as moulds and smells will occur.

Pls advise.

been placing 3M sometimes 3rd party mats over my original merc/bmw mats for the last 5-10 years... change them abt once in 2 years. no issues. i see most of my friends driving conti cars also put those non-cloth mats over the stock ones, after riding in their cars... no complains.

so long as u don't spill liquids onto ur mats, no mould should grow...

infact i prefer placing non-cloth mats as the first "layer" as usually u get into the car with dirt, or sometimes rainy... easier to clean instead of the stock mats which usually are meant for comfort and eye candy which result in liquid retension...

I haven't had problems in my previous rides either. In fact I just collected my new ones customised for the C class. Although I won't collect my new car til Sat :becky:

can't remember exactly how much I paid for them. The mats come in 2 thickness, range of colors, and can also include boot lining. For W204, they have the mould which allows a precise fit. The underside of the mats is affixed with holding studs to prevent slippage when placed directly onto the carpet i.e. original mats should be removed. There was a promotional price for AA members last year.
