3M or 3A also can la, as long as it is thick enough, if not they will wear off very fast.

I use both - the thick 3M sits on the original mat which is fastened to floor carpet. Everything snug and secure.

I like the single piece 3M rear mat - looks very nice and protects the floor carpet. Oh - I would add that I prefer black mats for the same reason I want black trim and leather - they make long term sense :)

the 3M full set (front and back) not very expensive .. about $165 per set inc delivery ... i like it becos it is thick and does not move about since it has grippers

wah lao.. what u guys think?!?!

Each Merc comes with a complete set of original floor mats from the factory. The extra 3M, 3A or 3B floor mats are purchased locally, usually out of the SE's pocket. If you want these extra mats, it should be 'negotiated' before you sign the papers. If after you confirmed the order, SEs that don't look very much into the future will give you bullshit reasons like what you've stated above in order not to give you the extra mats.

Anyway, like what Raskie said, these things don't cost an arm or a leg. If your SE show you such attitude after you've bought a 100+k car from him, just say goodbye to him for all your future upgrades and buy a set yourself.

Below are some of the 'freebies' that some SEs give out of their own pockets:

- 3? floor mats

- Huper optik films

- chrome tail pipe

- cup holders (for a rare few, including yours truly)

etc

If already done deal then no point brooding over it liao. Live and let live!

agree ... pre-sales is the best time to nego because YOU are king .. post-sales, depends on SE's integrity and attitude. YOU are no longer king.

Having said, that, I know some buyers will demand alot of freebies from SE. I suggest be reasonable, they are earning a living too. The joy of buying the Merc is the car itself and not the freebies.

i mean would you forsake buying the Merc becos SE refuses to give you 3M car-mat or window film ?

Bro Vincemerz, dun dwell on it ... enjoy your ride and get poison on other stuff

:)
