This is my guess. C200K is listed as about 157k. Supposing you have a used car Republic values at 29k and they take in at 37k with overtrade of 8k and you take a loan for the balance of 120k (probably at 2.8%) to get the 8% rebate of 9.6k. Assuming no other discounts you can 'say' you are getting the car at 139.4k? I suppose the actual rebate can be higher if you take a higher quantum of loan.

Saw the ad in today's papers. $8k overtrade + 8% rebate. Can anybody please elaborate what the eventual price will be? Eg for C200?

Do read and understand from the offer...

1) 8K overtrade is from republic auto

2) 8% rebate from your loan is low ( depending on any tie in period etc) as I understand that DBS and UOB are giving rebate up to 30%.

ps: maybe C&C is not using any of the above bank? Basically the selling price of car remains the same, all deifferences will be reflected in the used car. Enjoy your deal!

Driving an S60 that's 1.5mths from 6years. Told myself I want to keep it till 8yrs:), but then eyeing C200 as next car. Been always looking for less than 1yr old C200, but with this offer it seems doesn't make sense to even buy 2nd hand. 140k for a C200, seems quite good price?? Is this the lowest it's gone?

Go down and speak to a sales staff.... they will be able to offer you much better deal if you are serious and keen on the C200.

But having said that, used car price offered by republic is really dirt low. They offered me scrap paper value + a few hundred $ only .... but i was persuaded by their "generous" overtrade (well, PML offers slightly better overtrade, but its already quite good).

Point is, if you go to the right salesman, you will get a good deal.

For what i know, RA trade in your car with the overtrade and some are eventually sold to outside dealer at the profit.Since outside dealer can buy from RA,why dont you ?

Do it in the other way round, tell them you got no car to trade in and ask for a better discount....the SE will know how to do it.

Then sell your old car outside to other dealer, sometimes $ saving are better this way.

Give it a try ....

Hi,

I'm new to the forums. Recently signed on this offer. If you get the C200 it is 8% overtrade of the list price of C200 = $12500. That is on top of the value of your used car.

Then there is the remarkable drive package offer which gives 1)3rd party reverse camera 2) Garmin GPS 3) Huper Optik Solar film. If you don't want any of these, you can choose $2000 worth service credits. Can keep the $2000 for ala carte use, or purchase a one shot 3 year service package.

Those 2 above are the standard they should offer you. Anything else have to squeeze from your sales agent. PM me if you need more info.

Limited colors for this CNY package. only can choose from what they have in warehouse.
