trade-in of tyres and rims at C&c or you guys doing at some other place?

Is it a waste to trade in new rims & tyres since they dont fetch a good price anyway..

very true...and since it comes with Pirelli P Zero, maybe i should bear with the stock rims & tyres for 6 mths or so before upgrade to bigger rims...unless the poison gets real strong after the GTG...

The longer u take to trade in yr stock the rims, the value will drop. I trade in my 16 stock rims for about $750 with tyres within a week.

Go with yr heart, for me changing the rim and lowered spring without replacing the suspension mainly for stability and the looks. Is it worth it or not, u tell me after u lup a deep deep corner!!!!

Good boy!!! Now go and lower yr ride, either coilover or just the spring. Next, change all the orangey bulbs to LED inside out. Get the cheapo HID for yr low, high beam and fog light. U are almost there but not yet though. If you love to drive fast and furious, engine mangement is the next thing u need to do. But this one is not my cup of tea!!

just to let u know that the F1 Asymetrics tyres design allow u to swap the tyres even u r on staggered setup. That is, swap the front and rear tyres from left to right side only.

tks bro blackmercs for all yr valuable advice...i m keen to change all the bulbs to LED type...what do you mean by cheapo HID? keen to change the headlights but will not touch the fog lights coz white light cannot cut thru rain or "fog"...if not wrong, yellow light is the best for that matter...what about rear lights...LED available?

Dont mentioned! Cheapo HID cost only abt $100 without installation. Is better to change all at one go, if not you will regret, confirm and tested many many and many times. My nos plate LED install with resistor are done at Autobacs. Check our site sponsor, bimshop, he is selling without resistor. Remember to change the front eyelid to white LED too ya. Happy modding!!!

Great!...I also used LED on chrome nos. plate in my previous ride...i suppose you need to install ballast for the HID, right? You are using 4.3k or 6.0K or higher for yr HID? ... so all interior bulbs change are done in Autobacs and HID headlights & eyelid lights are by Bimshop? Can send me the contacts for both places?

My 2 cts:

1. Front Eyelid LED: Get from Benzline/Autospritz. Should be about $100+

2. Cheapo HID: get from this lady call Amy (HP: 91933990). She has H4, H7, H8.... and you can choose what colour temp you want. Per set is $100 for bulbs and ballast. I would recommend to get it installed at her workshop (additional installation charges. So better install altogether so that it'll be cheaper) as workmanship is pretty good.

3. Cabin lights to LED. Can be done at Amy's workshop above.

4. Rear license plate lights: get from bimshop, I've installed it myself, damn siong! see:

http://www.sgmerc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9032

You might want to read thru this very long thread for more insights on lightings:

Good luck!

Blackmercs changed all his interior lights to LED at Darren Auto at Toh Guan, $150 if I remember correctly. If you're gonna do the cheapo HID at Amy's workshop, it might be better to do it all at one go at the same shop to save labour costs.

License plate lights buy from bimshop and get the guys that do your lights to install for you, it's really not easy to DIY. Been there done that!

Rear lights can be changed to LED type, but need to change the whole lights assembly (not cheap!), bro ehwwong has done it at Benzline.

If you can tahan the itch, come down to the month end GTG, and we'll feed you with all the poisons and where to get them. And you can also see for yourself whether you like it or not before parting with your $$$.

Oh, you might also want to blacken out your grilles and lights, see:

Bimshop should have the rear license plate lights in stock, give him a call (Steven hp: 94992899). He can only supply as he doesn't know how to install for our W204.

Amy only supply the cheap HID. She has a wide variety of stock of different bulb types and temp. Go for 6000k or 8000k if you like the blue-ish look. She has a recommended workshop in Geylang that does installs for her. I've been there before and the workmanship of the guys there are pretty good. It is good to install there also because if got any problems, you can get Amy to solve for you. I think this same workshop can also do the interior LED lights for you.

If you want a peace of mind, change to Philips HID, price is about $500. One of our OLD forumer here swears by Philips.

For external lights (license plates, eye lids), error messages will show if you change the bulb type, so you'll need to get the right type with resistors. The bimshop's rear license plate lights is error free. For the eye lids, I would recommend the Benzline ones as they seems to work pretty well in some of our bros cars here. The ones we bought from ebay with built-in resistors burn out just after a few months.

If you need more info just pm me.

Happy changing your lights! It's a interesting process!
