Hey Guys! Firstly my name is Wan and im new here and my dad just recently purchased a new Merc C180 Blue Efficiency from C&C, well me and my dad tested drive the car and i find that the pick up is abit slow im sorry if i've offended any Merc supporters but as compared to my previous car which i would be trading, the Toyota Fortuner 2.7. So i just wanna ask you guys for advice on boosting its power/acceleration, frankly me and my dad has never own a continental before cause we can't afford till today haha so "paiseh"... :-\

Obviously i know there is always a way to boost its power/acceleration but this "Blue Efficiency" thingy seems to be a fuel saver and some sort like a hybrid car? correct me if i'm wrong but is there a way in boosting this kind of fuel saver cars?

Thanks Guys!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: hi Wan welcome to the sgmerc family as for your feeling of the pick up is easily explainable your old car is a 2.7l and this merc as it name suggest is only 1.8l therefore you will feel the pick up is slower as for increasing it acceleration you will have to wait for the other guys to help u out with that...

:offtopic: die liao later 1.30pm got english o level paper now still cannot sleep...

Good luck for your English paper :)

Anyway, the new C180 is only 1.6L although bhp is supposed to be the same as the previous 1.8L engine

The C180 sounded and felt too gruff for me...

I also made the switch over from a 2.3L turbo SUV but felt that the C200 was much better and hence it was my choice :punk1:

ah ic ic thanks. But still i wanna know if there is anything i can do to increase its acceleration/power?

You can try sprintbooster, which will help eliminate the throttle lag, but it will not give you additional power.

The C180 BE 1.6l has replaced the 1.8l couple of months back, so 1.8l is no longer available new.

If you looking for mods for power increase, can consider k box, headers, etc if you're going that route... But your C&C warranty will be affected. Got bros selling here:

Its a computer chip that controls your Engine Control Unit allowing the tuner to finetune the fuel-air ratio and improve performance
