I newbie, but when I was driving my W211 previously, I also encountered a similar problem - also tried all sorts, but in the end, one of the mechanics @ C&C told me to try wiping the wipers with vinegar or a slice of green apple.

Dunno what voodoo magic, but it solved the vibrating wiper problem :) Hope that helps for your case!

Ya stock wiper sucks big time man. Try this :-

1) change to bosch brand framless wiper

2) used damp newspaper to clean yr windscreen and yr wiper tip

Let me know the above method works or not ya.

True apply Vinegar oil or use Silicon oil. Apply very little will do the trick.

Silicon oil? just apply a bit from your tire black cleaner (say Armourall) as these majority are silicon oil.

I did Mama Lemon, then claybar, then glass polish, until the windscreen is flat out, but after a few swipes the wipers will start to judder again. I suspect its the wiper fluid that comes with the car.

I got this irritating problem, too. Don't think its the wiper fluid. Cos when the wiper is skipping, if you spray some of the fluid and it will be smooth again. But the problem soon comes back after several wipes.

So the vinegar thing really works?? Anyone tried using Rain-X?

It was raining yesterday (sunday) whole day, my wipers also juddering like sh*t, damn mad.

I put rain-X still persist, mix with rain-X wiper fluid also no cure. Only when I mix mama lemon on my washer tank it solve the problem. When it strat juddering I spray it with washer it gone after while it comes again spary agin with washer. No permanent solution but this mama lemon on washer tank is the most effective temporary solution for me.

thanks all for your frank reply and it is sad to know so many suffer under this.

It is truly irriating that an expensive car like this have such a small problem that kills all joy.

should we petition this to C&C to solve it?

C&C is aware of the problem, and they have conceded that there is nothing can be done.

Be careful when using mama lemon in your wiper fluid, it can strip away your car wax.

It is probably got to do with the wipers and the rubber that it is made of.

Applying Rain-X or Glaco will make it worse, therefore apply it well & sparingly as on balance with the rain repellent it is still far better in terms of visibility. The other plus point of having the repellent is that there is less need to turn-on the wiper so frequently.

From past experiences in my Japanese cars, NWB wipers and the rubber works the best with/without rain repellent. Unsure whether the Merc wipers can be changed to this Japanese brand. Appreciate updates on this as well.

How can C&C is aware and yet say there is nothing can be done!!?? >:( With all the technology and R&D that goes into each Merc, they are stumped by a humble wiper!!??

Any victim -- my fairly new W211 also suffering from wiper judders. Tried to clean with newspaper -- improved but didn't really worked.

Trying green apple to clean the wipers as suggested...

Any other suggestion?

the newspaper tricks works for me as long as i didnt apply the stock wiper liquid. Another trick is that use the claybar to clean the wiper tip then you will realise how dirty is yr wiper.

Green apple to clean???? I would prefer using papaya E cup and above for rubbing, i mean cleaning the windscreen.

I was told that it is good for the neck, backbone and other parts of the body too. Unker say one!!!
