Okay, the tyres are super duper bald. LOL! The TC warning keeps coming on when the floor is slippery.

At the moment, I am considering the Michelin Pilot Preceda (PP2). Kinda pricey but if it gives me comfort I don't really mind I guess. So just a gauge of what I am looking for.

Haha... meaning I am looking for almost 90% comfort. Any other recommendations for Tyre Models and Shop? I don't mind trying Japanese brands if they are comparable. Been recommended by the shop to try CSC3 so what about that?

Thanks for any suggestions you might give!

Spec

240/40 17

245/45 17

(iirc, I will go check it out again)

just a note, if you add in another plugin, that ask the user what 'date' or 'day' it is during registration, it will be very very hard for bots to auto sign up. so less spam!

Continentals are very expensive ... go for the Bridgestone or Yoko ... they are just as good and would not cost an arm or leg ...

i had Hankook K104 on my W211 and lasted me 2 years without fuss ...

that is about right I think .... why dun you consider Bridgestone RE001 ? I believe it shd cost about $1200 (+-) nett for a set of 4 tires.

I am not too familiar with the tires - the contis came "recommended" for the 18" rims that I will be swapping...

Is the Bridgestone RE001 better?

Thanks in advance

i'm no authority on tires ... i believe some bros here are on RE001 and has good reviews .... i think as long as you go for reputable brands, there is no difference ... of course there will be diff between daily road-use vs tracking tires.

if u ask me, my personal take is to go for the Bridgestone or anything similar and save the difference for something else. But if you are not keen on any other brands except Continentals, then go for them.

Are you a very demanding driver that take corners very aggressively or just a simple point A to B driver ? If it is the latter, a normal tire will more than suffice. Just get the right size and newer tires ...

:)

Hi xtrocious,

I've checked and there isn't any 225.35.18 for contact 3, is it 245.40.18 you are talking about?

Regards,

Roy

Hi Roy

I have no clue to be honest...hahah

That was what was given in the quotation sheet...

I guess I got to recheck with the fella...

I am using these tires with the Pulaha rims (I understand they need to be staggered)...
