Ipod Connection for W211 Audio 20?

FM transmitter I have - hard to find a Hz that has no transmission so no interference.

Command APS when U buying a brand new W211 from C&C option is >$12,000+

If yours come with Audio 20 and to retrofit, I was told by C & C cannot be done.

Was told an Australian guy can do it for W211 - cost about Euro 3,000 - Free labor for your Audio 20 if not another Euro 300.

I was at Pin Liang and shop owner claim that he has done it before using Denison Gateway 500. But I have my doubts. Anyone care to share if they have successfully in connection Ipod to W211 Audio 20?

depends on what level of integration. U can't see the titles, but u can play the music from ur iPod n the sound quality is good. It cam read the music on iPhone too, but cannot hear telephone calls through the system. See if Toycarz will oblige u with a look-see on his SLK.

Never seen how Mobridge works so not sure how it compares.

Yup, fixed up a Denison Gateway a while back and it has been working very well for me. The Denison Gateway comes with a IPOD connector and also USB cable. IIRC, can play direct from thumbdrive as well. :thumbsup:

Control from steering is working fine but the song title wont appear on the digital display. It will just show track 1,2,3.... and if you already have a CD changer, it will be disconnected so that the Aux is used by the gateway.

In next GTG, can take a look of what I have and try connecting your IPOD.

Cost wise, you will be looking around $1k, pretty expensive for such a mod just to hear MP3. Bo bian, I am a sucker for convenience and we have limited choice for pre-FL models.

FL W211 not any better with the Audio 20.

Audio 20 also dun have Aux in.

I burnt 99 mp3 songs to a CD cos the steering controls can control up to 99 tracks only :surrender:

Mercedes ipod kit does show song titles in the instrument cluster -- this makes it better than dension gateway 500
