does installation of header, Kbox, Pulley improve low end, and smoothen engine for W204, unlike in stock when rev engine is rough and noisy?

header is more for high end......pulley with the K-box will improve low end but of course if you upgrade the SC it will be better........

IMHO,

On the contrary K-Box loses out low end torque and only pick up Torque & Power after 3300 rpm on the M271 engine.

Please see the Dyno results on my previous W203 - stock vs KBox

Hi Kepiting1sg,

thanks for that info........maybe for my 271 engine (i've upgraded the SC so probably anything below 3300 rpm is still ok) - could be the SC....

cheers

Hi Bro ACSLK.

The above Dyno was done together with the C230 SC & Pulley Kit too.

Hi Kepiting1sg,

W203 must be slightly heavier than SLK i supoosed.....(that must be the main reason).....

what do you think?

IMHO

There's no free lunches!

Just like any piggy back ECU, it does sacrifice some low end torque to overall horses gain.

With the smaller pulley SC(C230), U may not actually feel the "losses" or "lag"

Without the smaller pulley SC and just the K-Box alone, the losses will be more apparent.

I have done the KBox on the previous W203 with & without the C230 SC.

With the C230 + K Box + Pulley Kit = extra boost - needs the Klemann Headers to get the exhaust pressure out FAST

In conclusion with just the K-Box, when U try slamming the pedal, it "hesitate" like some "turbo lag"

RPM shoot past 3300 rpm - the rpm rushes up to red-line & the car "goes"

Wanna really feel it goes - dun drive on D - Put into 2 rev >4500 move into 3 rev >4500 & shift to 4 ;D

Hi Kepiting1sg,

true no free lunches......

I've installed the Kleemann header, down-pipe plus AMG quad exhaust..........

good spark plus play apart as well and not for getting the sprint booster and also spark plus booster.....(all these may not help gain hp or Nm but at least it helps one another....) - better response.......

cheers

The Kleemann Header + AMG Quad Exhaust gets U all the extras

Without them - the whole system will be all "choked up"

End story - K-Box alone not enough.....hehehehehe!!!!

U should try out the Vaeth Intercooler too.....that helps cutting power losses due to heat. :devil2:
